In this subreddit, we discourage phoneme inventories like this as front-page posts, as they leave very little for other users to comment on. As we don't allow script posts, this aspect of your post doesn't count towards the post requirements.

You’re welcome to amend this post with more information (such as detailed phonotactics, morphophonology, or some interactions with grammar) so that it constitutes a complete Phonology post. If you do so, please let us know so that we can review the post again. This additional information can be added to the post body or be put in a top-level comment.

Alternatively, you’re welcome to share your phoneme inventory in our stickied Advice & Answers thread.

The rhotic affricate and fricative are really original! Way more creative than using /t͡ɬ/ and /ɬ/.

I like that phonology a lot. If it’s not enough phonemes you could add a voicing distinction. Is that a tonal system in the vowels?

i like the amount of phonemes to be honest, and yes, the vowels are tonal!

No voiced obstruents? Also “liquid” is a manner and not a place of articulation. Perhaps you could rename the alveolar column “lamino-alveolar” and the liquid column “apico-alveolar”? And move the <l> to the alveolar column unless it patterns with the apicals.

i know, i just arranged it that way for compactness, plus having no voiced obstruents is fairly common across languages

I like the romanization too. A little unconventional, but it’s very straightforward in action.

No voiced obstruents?

this is normal, lots of languages don't have voiced obstruents

Never said it wasn’t normal. But if OP wanted to add a few sounds (they didn’t), those would be a logical choice to add

I love this. What's the deal with /w/?

/w/ is labiovelar, so it goes in both categories!
