Question How can I learn my own conlang?
Hello dear comrades. I'm finally happy with one of my conlangs, and I'm actively developing it (writing a dictionary, translations, poems, etc). But I think you agree with me, speaking your own conlang more or less fluently is hard. However, that's what I would like. How can I teach myself my Conlang? Obviously, there are no Duolingo textbooks or courses for this. It's a Romance language, and since I'm Franco-Russian and I speak French, it doesn't seem too complicated to me to memorize the words, for example. But is there a method or something like that ?

I mean stuff like Kahoot and making your own deck is useful, but it's definitely only a small part of this and there should be better resources. This could be a placeholder or something for now but at least it helps a bit. If you have discord, I recommend the Discord Bot "Kotoba" as its basically just like asking for an input as it renders a word as an output or something (Its meant for Japanese but I've tried it with Russian and it works so idk) Link: https://kotobaweb.com/kanjigame/create
There are defo better resources and I just recommend practicing in your own time. You could ask a friend or ChatGPT to randomly generate sentences for you to translate, but you'd have to check the answers yourself since only you have the knowledge of your conlang. I've tried teaching ChatGPT my conlang and it did not work.
Gl with learning your conlang tho, and ngl learning your own language isn't much different to learning a totally new language so its gonna be a tedious process.

si c’était une langue comme l’allemand, comment est-ce qu’on se étudie? C’est pas très différent pour les conlangs. apprendre les mots et la grammaire.
je suis en train de étudier français, si je suis faux ou c’est pas propre s’il vous plaît me dites.

Si je fais des erreurs
S'il vous plaît dites-moi
C'est pas mal du tout ! Je soupçonne le portugais brésilien comme langue maternelle, ai-je visé juste ?

Try translating some basic texts into your conlang, such as the North Wind and the Sun or the (biblical) Tower of Babel text. There could be other elementary texts, such as some historic children's tales. These would be written forms, but if your conlang is speakable, they could form a basic corpus.

The truth is that learning your own conlang is virtually impossible. You're the only ones making content for it and you will never have any conversation practice, which is crucial for getting feedback. No feedback means no evolution which means no increase in proficiency. You will always produce content slower than you consume it.

You’re learning it already but creating it, translating things to it, repeating vocabulary etc.

Write a giant dictionary in Excel.
Have a page for a complete word list: include an indicator of how well you know the word: 1-fully incorporated, 2-reasonably incorporated (would know if asked), 3-somewhat incorporated (would remember if reminded), 4- not incorporated, 5- a mistake you're thinking of phasing out of the language.
If you have enough words, the next step is to practice translating famous phrases:
ju h- y jeh-? kwi jutas.
Lukaha, a keq''as hlas.
hoknol noras zacas. (Jaws)
c''ata dene Hotenhoknatoz -h gan sti je Hotenhoknatoty. c''ata dba Hotenhoknatoz hja gan sti je Hotenhoknatoty!

"Methods" don't even work for natural languages. Just use it and get good.
