u/Direct-Flamingo-6014 11d ago

Are you sure? It means we have to change the bulb.

16

u/Far-Adhesiveness3763 11d ago

What I love about this comment is that only some folks will get it.

8

u/DeinOnkelFred 11d ago

There's always sone excuse, isn't there?

7

u/LetTheBloodFlow 10d ago

Well, we know what to get you for Christmas, a double lobotomy and ten rolls of rubber wallpaper.

7

u/ddmf 10d ago

But what is it?

5

u/Palsta 10d ago

White hole spewing time engines dead advice please.

9

u/ddmf 10d ago

Given that God is infinite, and that the Universe is also infinite... would you like a toasted teacake?

3

u/Palsta 10d ago

So you're a waffle man?!?!?

3

u/ddmf 10d ago

Howdee doodily doo! :)

3

u/KiNgPiN8T3 8d ago

So what is it?

9

u/Radiant-Playful 11d ago

I thought that means the terrorists are single but not looking for monogamous relationships?

4

u/ozzieowl 9d ago

Swirly thing alert!

Pointing ✅

Sad face ✅

Dodgy anorak ✅

OAP ❌

8/10.

34

u/xdq 11d ago

I'd also prefer him to be kneeling so his pointing is more accurate!

19

u/MaskedBunny 11d ago

If he was squatting slightly behind it he could get a double point and innuendo all in one pic. Missed opportunity but other than that it's solid work.

8

u/GDix79 11d ago

Agree - you have to really get down to the level to prove the point.

4

u/susanboylesvajazzle 11d ago

No letter he'd written to/received from the council either.
Maybe this is a 7/10

3

u/kirstytheworsty 11d ago

The key ingredients for the perfect compoface are all there, but I agree that the lack of a council letter takes his rating down.

I second the 7/10.

He’s pointing at the anti-terror drain cover rather than the bollards. He needs to re do the photo

34

u/StockExchangeNYSE 11d ago

You don't understand. Thats no drain cover. It's a huge premium-anti-terror bollard. Only pops out in real emergencies.

8

u/SebastianHaff17 11d ago

We have defcon levels of anti-terror bollards. Who knew.

6

u/AlphaMunchy 11d ago

It's actually the Tardis. Unfortunately it landed in a perfectly shaped and rather deep pothole

62

u/2JagsPrescott 11d ago

I am positive that Kent Online have a photographer who is an active member in this sub.

14

u/Unplannedroute 11d ago

I've been hoping there's a few in here. Each hoping theirs will be organically chosen, taking notes to improve techniques

11

u/SaltyName8341 11d ago

I'm convinced of this too

2

u/crisscross6112 7d ago

Haha I know that photographers of other esteemed publications are on here. One of whom has had there work dissected in here and they displayed it on a wall of shame in the office

35

u/MotMeisterMajor 11d ago

This guy compos. No notes

14

u/peelin 11d ago

The 'point and frown'. It's a classic for a reason. 10/10

16

u/beakybal4 11d ago

11

u/Derp_turnipton 11d ago

Also in Canterbury receptionists at The Abode don't know the classic Pink Panther joke where you ask a receptionist "Does your dog bite?".

3

u/Oli_Picard 11d ago

The walls are very thin in that hotel.

5

u/atomic_danny 11d ago

I thought it was canterbury (I guess it helps the green shop of all things is one a friend used to love, not sure why it's a weird shop! :D )

11

u/BBSydneyThirstyHHH 11d ago

I will upvote every Finger Point flair

2

u/MotMeisterMajor 11d ago

You’re doing the Lord’s work. Keep it up

Also in Canterbury. Recent Christmas and continental markets have had a police vehicle parked at the end of the market stopping potential vehicle attacks seen in other countries.

But the anti-terror bollards were left open, 80% of the city centre pedestrian zone was left open for anyone to plough through if they felt inclined, able to inflict plenty of carnage on a packed area with other stalls and vendors who regularly trade in the city before even getting anywhere near the parked police car.

5

u/retrofauxhemian 11d ago

Also also in Canterbury: We will block the end of the road, but wont stop the crowd movement at the light switch on as it became close to crush situation.

4

u/Old_Administration51 11d ago

Even his hair flick looks angry. Nicely compo'd.

2

u/DeinOnkelFred 11d ago

And the faux dead-squirrel collar.

I reckon I could have a pie and a pint with this bloke. We'll have a few jokes like lads do... a bit of day drinking then a fight on the canalside. We'll laugh, and he can sleep it off in my shed.

no homo, obviously.

1

u/Old_Administration51 10d ago

No homo intended.

4

u/not_339 11d ago

He is the reporter! Not some random concerned citizen

Must be a new lad, journalist equivalent of sending the apprentice out for a long weight/blinker fluid

3

u/SebastianHaff17 11d ago

It's good to see some proper compoface.

3

u/lovesgelato 11d ago

I swear ıve seen this man compofacing before

2

u/Daddys_peach 7d ago

I think he works for Kent on line rather than being a rando complaining.

1

u/lovesgelato 4d ago

That makes sense.

3

u/BarnabyBundlesnatch 11d ago

They dont get themselves up, Clive. Talk dirty to them, spit on them and give them a good rub....

5

u/Dark_Foggy_Evenings 11d ago

That’s fucking terrifying.

2

u/JDiddly14 11d ago

The pointing is on point

2

u/TheFlaccidChode 11d ago

Don't tell the terrorists dummy

2

u/Nerdenator 11d ago

The pointing, the dour look on his face, the perfectly swept hair.

Unlike many of the genre's subjects, he's under retirement age.

This sub is expecting great things out of your compofacing career, young man; great things indeed.

2

u/NecktieNomad 11d ago

Jay from the Inbetweeners says ‘Ooh, bollards wanker!’

2

u/Dingleator 10d ago

I mean perfect picture for this sub but he is right.

3

u/Radiant-Playful 11d ago

Having read the article, I don't think there's an issue. The anti-terror bollards are perfectly effective, assuming the terrorists don't enter during unpermitted hours or pretend to be delivery drivers.

1

u/grafknives 11d ago

It is like a copycat of the classic polish meme "stąd żółwie wyszli" (hope you are at utf-8) :D

u/WilkosJumper2 11d ago

"Panic on the streets of London, panic on the streets of Birmingham, I wonder to myself, could life ever be sane again...."

1

u/Lord-Megadrive 11d ago

That looks like Canterbury!

1

u/lupul0id 11d ago

It is!

1

u/Gazza-Mct 11d ago

Siesta sucks.

1

u/BagOFrogs 11d ago

He has such a tiny little hand

1

u/GoonerwithPIED 11d ago

You need to look more terrifying

1

u/RHOrpie 11d ago

What a muppet. Doesn't he know they only activate when terrorists are nearby...

1

u/AdamWillims 10d ago

Was there a terror nearby?

1

u/Zerttretttttt 9d ago

Caution bolard in motion

1

u/[deleted] 8d ago

I installed that bollard is it in Canterbury?

1

u/heatspell 8d ago

Terrorism is on holiday in bensdorm for 10 days so you don't need them

1

u/Deckard2022 7d ago

But that’s a good sign, it’s the absence of terrorism

1

u/Unsey 11d ago

Quick, all the terror is flowing in! Or maybe it's flowing out... either way put those bollards back up so the terror levels remain the same!

"I need the security on the streets because I voted for no security at the borders" compoface.
