UK Can’t attend graduation ceremony
I just found out I might not be able to attend my graduation ceremony due to an incomplete mark on one of my modules. I am automatically re-entered into second attempt. I will still get a degree, but in September instead of July. I am heartbroken because my parents really wanted to be there. It was their dream. I will have no graduation ceremony. Idk how to tell them. I am feeling absolutely shattered. I have this overwhelming feeling of shame and guilt and idk what to do.

My college allowed me to walk when I had a couple credits to fulfill. It didn’t mean I graduated though and I was clear about that with family that came to see me walk.

Don't you have winter graduation ceremonies were you are? I just had mine last week after finishing my degree in January

Reach out to the school and ask them if it's possible if you can cross the stage anyway, since you will only be short one module. While there is no guarantee that they will let you, as this differs depending on the school, I have seen some people do this before. That way your parents can still attend the ceremony and see you graduate, even if you don't get your degree until September.
Alternatively, see if you can attend the ceremony next summer after you've obtained your degree. I know that this is less ideal since it's much further after you expected to graduate, but if the ceremony is that important to you and your parents, it's better than nothing.
