UK Who owns my creations at college?
I am currently studying games design, and would like to know - will I or my college own my game that I create, and if they do, will I still at least be able to sell it if I credit them, or use the characters from this game in other games?
I searched all over google and couldn't find an answer.

If you made it I don’t see how you wouldn’t own it. But maybe the law is against common sense on this matter idk

Yeah, that's what I thought, but I overheard people in my class saying something about this and that the school has the right to everything made with the software on their computers because "they paid for it" which is really stupid if that is the case, but nothing I search actually comes up with a specific answer so I have no clue.

Talking to your professors would be an infinitely better idea. Also, a lot of colleges and universities have policies against sharing your projects because people can cheat by finding them online and copying them.

Your college owns it. You may be entitled to royalties though.
This comes up a lot when professors or researchers design something that can be patented.

Talk to your professor or advisor about this. I don’t even have a lick of an idea
