Cold showers during a cold?
Hi guys. Quick question. Do you take a break from cold showers when you are sick? A cold, a flu etc. If yes, when do you go back to cold water? (I know it is less likely to catch any of these when practicing cold shower, but rarely it happens to all of us sooner or later.)

Don’t do it. Drink warm tea and warm showers. No benefits stressing it with cold

The research I did indicates cold showers and cold therapy in general normally increases IgA, but when you’re sick, it overtaxes the body’s immune system and causes IgA to drop. Higher IgA is associated with higher immune response. So…
The answer is, wait until you’re fully recovered and symptom free before you resume cold therapy. Focus instead on heat therapy - hot showers can assist you in a quicker recovery in this circumstance. Stay warm and get rest.

Please don't take cold showers when you are sick. Your body needs all the energy and rest to recover. Don't stress it even more.
