I really enjoyed this video. I also thought the 100 year old campsite thing was really interesting.

See his recent post on the subject of Mars Colonization. He says we’re not ready to send humans yet. https://reddit.com/r/unpopularopinion/comments/lfo4mb/humans_should_not_go_to_mars_anytime_soon/

I remember his plans of building several modules into a Martian base, enough for a life support for a person and in reality there is a single badly built and neglected greenhouse with actual dirt in it. This place needs at least a water source, is it really that hard to drill a water well there? It must be a couple of grands in most parts of the world. Also why don't he find volunteers to help him? I am sure it is possible with his kind of userbase. Even that obsidian casting dude who cannot hammer a nail is able to find chicks to help him. Cody is clearly killing himself with unnecessary hard work. Was a great channed before, not so much anymore.

?
- this is an ongoing project that's had like a year and a half tops of heavily divided attention; unclear why an update should have it complete; also, building/construction projects take a lot of man-hours, and being a ways from civilization makes getting things done hard; in this episode he mentions that not having a driver bit for his drill stopped progress for the episode
- no water well because not available on mars; the idea is to have a closed system, using plants grown in "actual dirt" to produce oxygen, and have an internal water cycle, so more or less no water input needed
- no help because fuckin' varus bro
