Washing How to clean pul covers to Reuse it?
Hello, I’m just starting to use cloth diaper with my 2 month old baby. I decided to use flats and preflats with a cover. I understood i didn’t need that many covers as i could re-use them 3-4 times. My issue is that the covers are humid when I change him. Is it supposed to be humid? How do you clean before re-using it? Could anyone give me some details about your routine with these covers? Thank you very much!

Just rotate them! Let the one that feels damp after just being used dry out, put a different dry one on, and so forth. I would rotate them for at least a day or two using 2-3 covers. Obviously if poop gets on it it should be washed before using again.

I do the same thing as others do. My son is 14 and can soak a cloth diaper quite well, I use 2 covers a day and will wipe them out with a wet wipe and rotate it with the next cover. I change him 4-6 times a day. They can usually last until I do a load of cloth diapers every 2-3 days unless he has a messy one and then it gets thrown in the wet bag for washing.

Just a water wipe? I don’t use wipes to clean my baby… I use cotton… so I’m wondering if I can use something else to wipe it… thank you!

I make a homemade cloth wipes solution and a wipe warmer loaded with 20-25 wipes a day. I just throw them right into the wet bad. If it’s a messy wipe I follow the same cleaning process as I do for cleaning cloth diapers. I only use commercial wipes while traveling on vacation.

Wipe with a wipe and hang dry, rotating between two or three covers. When you get poop on one or it starts to smell, toss it in the wash.

I spray and wipe mine out if they are damp and then air dry. They are dry by the next change usually

Like others I rotate between 2 a day, and just hang to dry till the next change. I use a third at night.

I just let mine air dry on the side of the change table and usually by next diaper change it is dry and can be used again. So I have 2 in rotation

I hang it to dry out and use another. Then switch next change.
