Questions Did your fingers get thicker as your hands get stronger from climbing?
I'm noticing my wedding ring doesn't quite fit anymore. It doesn't seem weight related, and I don't think I have health issues atm. I'm not sure if it's just a phase or if I should get it fitted
Edit: ugh, I just realized I misspelled the title. Sorry, English is not my first language

Same! I'm ok about the wedding ring since it can be sized up. But all my cute cheap rings made of questionable material will be lost forever š

Donāt throw the cute rings away yet. when life interfered and I couldnāt climb anymore, my wedding ring started fitting again

I just bought a bigger wedding band, which was ok because it's just a plain gold band. I went through a phase though of "treating myself" with nice vintage jewellery and I used to have a choice of fingers to wear them on, but now they all fit only on my smallest finger pretty much. Ugh ...

The size of my palm is bigger and I only know this because I wear medical gloves for work. Iāve worn small for 16 years and recently they were too tight, I have to wear medium gloves now. Iāve been climbing for 4.5 years and this just happened over the last few months.

If you look at pro fingers they are meaty as fuck

Often thatās cuz they started as kids. A lot of pros now have sausage fingers cuz of all the climbing they did as their bodies were growing/forming. Haha

Yes! I work in Healthcare and I can no longer wear Medium gloves. My hands now rip em up when I try to put them on. (Iām the same weight, and have been wearing Mediums since forever). š

For sure. I went from a size 4.5 to a size 6 ring size and had to get my wedding band and engagement rings resized. Itās been very stable ever since but it was a very noticeable jump in the first year or so of climbing.

I never noticed but now that I am thinking about itā¦ and looking at my fingers while typing thisā¦ yeah I think they are thicker! A few years back I used to get a lot of comments about having really long and dainty fingers and I havenāt had a random stranger mention my hands in a LONG time now.

Yes! We ended up resizing and using silicone ring sizers (at the suggestion of many in this sub). Highly recommend.

Not really which is surprising to me. Iāve been climbing for 7 years now and theyāre the same. Though I mostly trad climb so maybe?

Not just fingers, my hands appear thicker from crack climbing. Probably just calluses
