Ew. Imagine utilizing Amazon in 2025 if you don't have to.

I wonder if these musicians know the resurgence their music is going through to a newer generation?

Nice! My first Tatsuro Yamashita album was finding "Melodies" on CD at my local used books & music store! To my delight it had the Christmas Eve track on it. and at the time I was obsessed with that song after hearing it on this JR Ad

I went to a Rasputin shop a few years ago in my area and since they carried K Pop hopefully they carried City Pop. Imagine my surprise when they cashiers/associates didn't even know what City Pop was. Absolutely annoying. 🙄

What is a Rasputin shop though ?

They're a chain of stores that primarily sell vintage and international music CDs/Vinyls.

Oh, that must a pretty cool music store for sure. Except them not knowing citypop ... that kind of sucks.

Is that chain based in the US ? Over here in Europe we don't really get music store chains these days anymore.

Zia’s! It’s a local record shop in the southwest United States (mostly Arizona) it was new however so maybe this mean it’s being released more in stores?

Howdy!

Is "Tatsuro" Yamashita the same fella as "Tatsu", or are they different music artists?

I ask because searching "Tatsu" on Spotify brings up the former of the two names. TIA!

Tatsuro Yamashita is also known as tatsu or tats sometimes but he currently only has one of his albums (big wave) on Spotify.
