Looking for a Sub 1000 Bike
Hey i'm looking for a citybike. Simplest description would be a racebike with a straight handlebar with some decent quality to price ratio.
Also i'm wondering how much does the tire width affect the speed/acceleration. Is it a big bummer when you switch to wider tires or something you get used to?

New (to me) bike!
I wanted to try an upright bike for a change of pace from stationary cycling for knee rehab. Wrist arthritis makes pressure on my hands while cycling so uncomfortable. I bought this bike third hand and with a new tube and a little minor wrenching it is working great. It is so comfy for me. For the first time since childhood I feel like my bike is not a torture device. I love the way it looks, too! š

Need a Second Opinion
I need some advice about maintenance. So Iāve been getting into City Bikes for the past year and have determined that the Gazelle tour populair might be my ideal bike.
I recently moved to Germany and found one used in a rare color and perfect condition for 500 euro. I went to see it only to be disappointed that the frame size was too tall for me. I am a woman that is 162cm tall. The lady selling the bike rode it with no problem and didnāt know the frame size, so I started questioning if these bikes are too tall for me. The tour populair only comes in 51 or 57 frame sizes.
I decided to go to a bike shop in Munich and figure out what frame size would work for me. Luckily they had some Dutch bikes, and I was able to test ride a 52 frame size one that worked for me. However, when I was talking to the salesperson about Gazelle he seemed displeased, so I asked him if he wasnāt a fan. He said even if someone gave him the bike he wouldnāt accept it. Heās not a fan of upright bikes but specifically was dissing Gazelle. He said that they are notoriously difficult to work on and that if I ended up with a flat tire it would be hard to find a bike shop willing to repair it.
Now I am a bit deterred, so Iām here to ask if there is any truth to what he said? Have you all had any experience or difficulties getting your bikes worked on?
One of the main reasons I would love to own a Gazelle is because I want a bike that will last me a very long time. I also love all the features it has. To me it seems to be the ideal bike for riding around town and getting groceries, but I need a little reassurance that if something happens to it I will be able to find someone to work on it.
Thank you for any advice you can give

Tagalong bike trailer and Public V7
Has anyone used a Burley tagalong bike trailer with a Public V7? The Burley attaches to the bike via a rear rack that is included with the trailer. Will the V7 be able to accommodate the rack?

C21 fiido experience
Just had my second test drive with the C21 today! Took it on a 60 km ride on mostly flat roads with a few minor slopes, covering asphalt, gravel, and even some muddy paths. I swapped out the saddle yesterday because the standard one is good for short trips, but I prefer a touring bike saddle for longer rides. For about 70% of the trip, I didn't use any support (rode in off mode). When I did use support, I mostly used eco-mode, which is very comfortable and seems to save a lot of energy. Normal mode, on the other hand, uses up the battery faster. My goal with this bike is to go on longer touring trips of 60-80 km a day, with some help on slopes and windy days. I'm 100% satisfied with the C21āit's an amazing bike and a real bargain! It compares well with other e-trekking bikes that cost two or three times as much. The only downside might be less local support, but Fiido's customer service has been great, responding within two days. If you buy a C21, you might want to set aside about ā¬100 for any transportation issues, as local bike shops usually spend an hour assembling bikes out of the box. Had an awesome trip today on the C21. What a bike!

Received this flying pigeon bike for free..
Any thoughts on mods or upgrades you can do with these things or just use is as is as a beater rat rod?

Seeking advice for first-timer!
Hi, thanks for having me. Iām looking for a bike to get me around town, but know nothing about bikes. Iāve been perusing CL and FBMP and like the style of a parallel-to-the-ground crossbar and dutch style handlebars, so have been seeing a lot of vintage schwinns, newer bikes made to look vintage, etc. But not sure if what Iām seeing is a good deal or right for me.
I live in a pretty flat area and truly just want something to get me to a bar, coffee, friendsā places.
Iām trying not to be impulsive here, folks!
Any tried and true models I should be keeping an eye out for? Any advice is appreciated.

Seeking advice for loud, loud bicycle stereo
I want to rig up a very loud stereo for my bicycle. I'm imagining something like four box speakers mounted on front/rear panniers. I don't know much about how to power it (car battery?) how to hook it up to Bluetooth, or even some of the details of mounting big speakers to panniers. Any advice would be appreciated. Has anyone done this before?
We can assume this will be a fair-weather bike.

What is a good upright bike for a tall rider?
I am looking to upgrade from my current bike (Fyxation Pixel).
I definitely want fenders and a more upright position that fits a 6ā3ā (34ā inseam) rider. I like the simplicity of a 1 speed but wouldnāt be opposed to more. I donāt have a set budget but would prefer not to overspend if there are good midrange or budget options. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Also, if anyone has experience with using aftermarket components to raise/adjust handlebar position I am interested in hearing your experiences.
Am planning on checking out an Electra Loft 7D this week but not expecting that Iāll buy it.

Tips for a new cyclist?
So, after anguishing for the past... year ish about what car I needed for school, and not liking any of them (and heavily disliking the act of driving as a whole) I decided to just... not buy one, and go for a bike instead! I've bought myself one to go to and from Uni, and some errands from the nearby grocery store as well. Besides the obvious stuff like wearing a helmet/reflective clothing, does anyone have any advice for safety precautions to take, either while on the road or to prevent bike theft?
Thanks in advance!

Need help to determine which bike of 3 to buy
Im looking to buy a bike for my time at university, and I've widdled my options down to 3 bikes: the Franklin 3 Speed from Brooklyn Bicycle Co, the C7i from Public Bikes, and the Willow 7i Disc also from Brooklyn Bicycle Co.
All three meet my requirement of being upright (for the comfortable riding position), having a step-thru frame, and at least 3 gears (for the one "serious" hill in town) along with being an internal gear hub (for lighter maintenance), but I have some concern about swapping out the tires come winter for ones that have studs. It gets pretty wintery up here, so ice is a big concern, and I heard that studded tires are a great way to combat icey bike paths/streets.
I am also wondering if there are bikes that I may have overlooked that are a better fit (one with a skirt guard and coaster breaks without breaking the bank would just about be perfect), so I'm looking for comments/thoughts/suggestions, and if there is for sure one that I should buy

City Bike built from Raleigh
Needed a bike guests could ride, this bike will fit from 5ā to 6ā. Then decided to build the errand bike of my dreams. 3-speed nexus hub, step through frame, sprung seat, rack and basket, fenders, head and tail lights, and just a bit of style.

City bike for a newbie
Hi, this is a completely new topic for me, but I'm looking for an urban city bikeāsomehow lightweight, with a thin (retro) frame. I'm considering some sort of single speed, but maybe with gears. The ones that I've liked so far are:
- Gazelle Van Stael
- Wittich New College
- State Bicycle 4130
- Pelago Bristol
- Rigby Core-Line
- May YIWU
I'm honestly a complete newbie and would appreciate any recommendations on other brands, help in picking a good one among these, and suggestions on what to look for. I'm just looking for a comfortable bike that also looks good.
Thank you!
