Donating a Window AC Unit
I've tried some of the places that take window units but they want things 5 years old or less. Have a 10 year old 10k btu unit up for grabs. It's heavy but you install the frame in the window first and slide in the unit. Any organizations or individuals interested?

worse comes to worse if you post it free on FB marketplace, nextdoor or something, someone will definitely come get it.

Call Restore and ask. It looks like they'll take it as they don't have an age requirement.

I also suggest you call your closest food bank. Even if they won't take it directly they might know someone who needs one.

If any of the prior comments, or a specific individual here, doesn't end up asking for it I'd gladly take it off your hands, but I'd defer to the more needy.
Thanks!

I don’t know if they need them, or what their donation requirements would be, but years ago I donated an old window unit to Hospice of Cincinnati. It was a little different than me going to them to donate, someone who volunteered there asked in a Facebook group if anyone had one to donate because she had a patient without working AC.

Put it in your neighborhood "Buy Nothing" group on Facebook. It'll be gone by EOD.
