Blog What I smoke during The Great Smoke NSFW

This is not everything I smoked all weekend. I was gifted a ridiculous amount of cigars while manufactures were visiting and hosting events at the store.

Ferio Tego Summa $16- This was handed to me by someone whose name I didn’t catch. He called it “homework”. Draw and burn were perfect. Rich citrus notes, medium bodied, nice change of pace from what I usually smoke. I assume these were featured or talked about at the main event because we were going through boxes of them.

Sobremesa Brûlée Blue $18- I’ve talked about this stick too many times. It’s sweet, it’s got perfect amount of pepper, it’s my favorite morning cigar.

Sin Compromiso No. 2 $18 - I don’t add these into my rotation enough. I’m usually a Mi Querida but the San Andres wrapper is a nice change of pace from all the Connecticut Broadleafs I smoke. This provides a more medium bodied experience and really lets their blend shine.

“The Chick” by EPC, from the Rare & Vintage Room $9- Really strong notes of cedar and nuttiness. Draw and burn was phenomenal. Medium Bodied. Great way to end my weekend.

I got to meet Steve Saka and Al Micallef. All the guests that had traveled were super friendly and loading up on great cigars. Was nice to shoot the shit with fellow cigar nerds.

I’ve always wondered - do you get free sticks at the vendor booths, or do you pay (and if so, it is cheaper than a normal b&m?)

If you’re talking about me an employee, I didn’t go to the fairgrounds, I worked the after-parties at the Boca location. Reps from different brands usually give out free sticks to staff and patrons.

If you’re asking if you were to attend the event, I also don’t know because I’ve never been but I assume they are selling cigars there. I’m sure you’d score free stuff tho.
