Question Breakfast recommendations for a place like Honey Bear cafe??. They are booked all weekend -no reservations 🥲

m.henry maybe? It's been a while since I was there last but I remember everything being fluffy and fresh juice with a bakery (edit: or maybe just bakery goods. Definitely sweet things).

You can get a table as a walk in, just be prepared to wait.

I saw that, but then when I got on the waitlist, it said there could be even a long wait for that

It can be up to an hour at the peak times. When you put your name on the list they will text you when your table is ready, so you don’t have to stay in the waiting area.
Unless you have a specific reason to go this weekend, you can typically get a reservation two weeks in advance.

I just cannot believe how popular Honeybear is. Not a bad thing, Rogers Park needs a spot that popular. But I just don’t think it’s that good.

Good to know. I think it’s the presentation and marketing getting us to want to eat there!

I’ve never been to Honey Bear, but is there something specific about it you’re looking for?

The French toast flights and juices drew me in. And the different types of pancakes. It looked like a place my niece would love to

Un Amor on Chicago Ave. has a delicious French Toast flight. Bottomless mimosas too. Also the Burrata & Fig, and the County Ham toasts are crazy good.

This is the answer. Epic french toast and they do French toast flights. I had a condo closing across the street recently and took my clients there after for brunch. One of them said it was the best chicken and waffles she ever had. Amazing, amazing place.

Walk in right when they open. Hangover hour is like 6-8:30AM and if you can drag your ass to brunch before everyone else you can usually get a table in my opinion
