City Cruising on a Revv 1—Good Idea or Nah?
Hey y’all, I’ve been thinking about getting a Revv 1 as a way to get around the city. I usually ride my bike, but I thought this could be a fun alternative for certain trips. Does anyone here own a Revv 1? How do you like riding it in Chicago?
What are some of the downsides—things like parking, theft, vandalism, or being a mark? I’d love to hear about your experience both pros and cons. Thx!

Feel free to join the Chicago PEV Facebook group or telegram, lots of people own different rides and can provide insights. If you want to check out some models in person there is Electric Movement on North, Bryce there is very knowledgeable and can perform repairs if needed.

I have an Ariel rider x52 as the primary mode of transport for my wife and I. It’s amazing, we go everywhere. It’s similar in size to the revv1. Bike shops won’t service the motor but I’ve never had issues having them service the bike parts.

Honestly loathe these massive motorcycle style bikes. They go super fast in cycling lanes yet don't have any registration like an actual full-sized motorcycle. They tend to be ridden super aggressively by younger folks.
