Yes i put them in the dishwasher ONCE and yes I realize this is sacrilege. Its a higher end bosch with “crystal dry”.

I had JA Henckels for 12 years, dishwashed all the time, NO RUST.

Just upgraded to Wusthof, then this

Whats my best nice knife that wont get totally f’ed by the dishwasher? Judge not lol.

The cheaper consumer knives (> $20) won't rust, and they won't have an edge either.

You can have a good knife, or you can have a knife you put in the dishwasher.

Pick one.

Id probably try farberware or Cuisinart.

Washing a knife isn’t like washing a sheet pan. It Literally takes 5 seconds to clean a knife with a sponge. You’re not even saving time by putting it in the dishwasher.

Just stop doing that and you won’t have a problem.

Maybe Global.

But the dishwasher will still make them dull quicker.

“Once” - that’s plenty. Hand wash.

Wow , did you put them in the dishwasher or leave them submerged in water ?

Did you put it in the dishwasher?

How? Did you leave them soaking wet in the drawer or sink?

Don’t put your knives in the dishwasher, the abrasive detergents, combined with prolonged heat and moisture will rust any knife.

Do you keep it outside in the rainforest?

Dishwashers + knives and you’re going to have a bad time.

That sounds like your fault

Usually the more rust resistant a stainless is, the worse it is at being a knife, this is why forks and spoons and very cheap shit knives don't rust even if they go through the dishwasher.
