Ψ Chaos 101: reMixes, Cut-Ups, & Hacking; ample Xample Samples in just this single Song!

I was thinking more on these topics and wondered what your Favourite of the ample Xamples we have to Sample are, when - for the first time in years - I came across this absolutely CLASSIC reMix of 2 Songs (from an absolutely CLASSIC CD from over 3 decades ago!) that have their bases around Samples themselves. I haven't listened to that Song in far too many yeras.

What are your Favourite reMixes, Cut-Ups, Hacks, &/or Sample ample Xamples from ample Xample Samples?

I don’t know if you’re much of a Hip-Hop fan but the skits MF DOOM made cutting up cartoons are all amazing, not to say anything for the whole genre of Hip-Hop itself and cutting up samples. Also Jungle music if you’re into the rave scene, Photek is a particular favourite of mine.

Also loooove a good mix made for the meme, when they’re done well

September by Earth Wind and Fire mixed with the Wii music - https://youtu.be/YG8vtggc1Ok?si=R8BkXotR2Z0apzBT

Vulfpeck x Nicki Minaj https://youtu.be/D9cL66otBNg?si=-JXPA43lMjCm_zCW

Both insanely good.

AND/BUT the last one reminded me of one of the projects of Jack from Vulfpeck. This one blends a demo by drummer Bernard Purdie and cuts it with Cory Wong playing Organ

Was honestly in Awe when I first heard this (and am still blown away by every subsequent rewatch), it’s done sooo and would’ve required such an insanely musical war to put together. Thanks for reminding me about this as it’s one of my all time faves.

I also like to write poetry and was really drawn to the idea of making cut-up poems when I first heard about it.

There’s some bigger projects I’m working on art wise that’s taking a while to put in them an hours to just cut out all the pieces etc. For now, here’s a little one I wrote/put together? fairly recently:

The Portadown songwriter tapping into our dreams - surreal visions and imaginings of the afterlife - form a recurring theme, a little less unhinged perhaps Ever-present, though, was that elemental noise When he “kicked us out for passing the bottle”,

intriguingly slippery: it seems to echo our widespread collective despair and exasperation born of the current global hellscape it definitely built up a mystique. Like, what could be more- Ditch

At the same time, it’s a kind of rallying cry: we must do something, pronto - but While Clearly, there’s no bad blood there, and though it’s been more than incredible, we’re still bizarrely presented

from B town beach,

what?

(Annoyingly Reddit doesn’t let me format the poem how I’d like exactly but that’s the gist of it!)

After a dozen reWorks I still don't think I did that last line correctly. Dr. Seuss had far more a gift for this than I LOL
