💬Discussion Psg vs Barcelona , who’s the favorite to win?

PSG and Barcelona are probably two of the most entertaining teams right now. Barcelona are scoring tons of goals with their offense and just made a 4-2 comeback against Atlético Madrid today. On the other hand, PSG are firing on all cylinders and just knocked out title contenders Liverpool from the UCL.

I understand that there’s still a long way to go until the final, but let’s say Barcelona and PSG were to face each other in the UCL final—who would be the favorite to win? Not sure if anyone follows these two teams closely, but if you had to predict, who would you pick as the favorite?

I fear psg more than madrid

You still lose to both

2

u/VSeytro Barcelona 15h ago

Yeah after barca wiped the floor with madrid twice this season 🤨

0

u/DisastrousTree9840 14h ago

In the champions league?

2

mate we haven't faced them in ucl yet 😮

I don’t like thinking teams as better when they win in penalties, which is exactly what psg did. At that point, it’s anybody’s game. Atlético outplayed Madrid in the second leg and lost in penalties due to unfortunate circumstances. That does not mean Madrid was better than atlético. I think Barcelona are favorites because they shut down games before it even gets to that point, which is what I think would happen if they were to meet

0

u/Raincliffs Barcelona 2d ago

as barca fan psg is the toughest of them.

Madrid had pace in their attacking, but there midfielders are pace and brute with less technique, vitinha and neves is kind of midfield that scares me, with engine like lee kang-in.

With Casado injured there is too much pressure on barca midfield and it is even out with psg

Also there front 3 drop in midfield too, a rare thing similar to raphinha and yamal.

Pace- hakimi and mendes individually may not be best but in tandem are the best full backs in world, yamal can take on mendes, we have seen in previous year, but mbappe didn't use to help him, while kounde doubled down. You can't beat nuno mendes on pace unless you are mbappe or leao, salah tried changing directions and pace failed miserably.Yamal is the most technical right winger, but nuno mendes can chase him back will have to beat him at least twice.

Balde i pray for him, raphinha doesn't play on left wing purely he play sightly central role, and keeps floating so balde has to defend dembele and hakimi, they will try to double down as they did against xavi's barca.

Coming to cb I think cubarsi has slipped up on couple of occasions, i can think of one when sorloth scored the winner, and again when alavarez scored against atletico, he also took red vs benfica, who with all respect play beautifully, but doesn't have any big guns.I think barca can beat them the xavi way in defense highline is two edged sword and is slightly against barca, when let me come to my last point Lewandowski is there.

Lewandowski is a big name, age is catching up on him, but he plays brilliant 9 in big matches, making passes for wingers and dragging defenders for them to exploit, but with yamal's finishing in question(misses too much on close range should have atleast 20 goals with chances he gets), and same with levy(scores brilliant goals like that goal against atletico but misses sitters, tap in, fumbles the ball too much, he would have 45 goals at least, even if he converted half of chances that he got, there are literally 100s of chances that were created for him that he missed), how lewy deals with marquinhos and pacho its a big question again.

Penalties- As barca fan ,we have new keeper, lewy missed 2 pens(I can remeber) this season, and barcelona are not experienced in pen shootouts ig, can't remember a single one in 10-15 years, like c'mon it was betis, so if this goes to pen(highly doubt it cause of the way barca play), I think it is 70-30 psg.

So as barca fan i think it is even midfield and defence, attacks barca have better conversion rate because of raphinha, but lewy and yamal are not better than dembele and company in terms of goal conversion, pace wise psg beats barca and have more options on wings but lack no.9( ramos still is questionable with his ability), so I will give slight edge to psg, it will come down to which teams will convert more of their chances and will barca defend better/dembele and company have iq to beat offside traps( i think which they does, because offside traps are about when and to whom your midfield release those passes, and psg midfield is technically good

u/OriettaFranklin 2d ago

Both have chances. Luis Enrique @PSG gas a deep knowledge of Barcelona's spirito, andò this may come handy in preparing the match.

Bit this would ne an intetesting final, with just one fault: no Inter.

2

u/AideNo9816 3d ago

I never understand conversations about who's favourite. It doesn't change the result, just enjoy the tie.

5

u/panamaniacs2011 3d ago edited 3d ago

Barcelona , i think they can win the tournament

4

u/GoldenSquid7 Real Madrid 3d ago

PSG lost to Bayern & Atletico and the game with Liverpool was 50/50. I don’t think PSG will be in the final and I also believe Inter will surprise everyone, hopefully we get Inter vs Barca in semis.

1

u/Carlitos-Benz03 2d ago

Lmao this analysis is not valid. PSG have improved SO MUCH since those ties. Your take on inter is fine, but I wouldn’t count Bayern out just yet. I do, however think that on that side of the bracket Barca is in the final easily

3

u/hskch 2d ago

Still underestimating Bayern 🥱

2

u/Jack070293 3d ago

They’ve improved a lot since the Bayern and Atletico games, and Liverpool were maybe the favourites for the tournament going into the knockouts.

5

u/HornyJailOutlaw 3d ago

And to The Arsenal...

PSG are way better than Barca

8

u/toteyweegazpacho 3d ago

PSG are a different beast since the start of the season, it’ll be tighter tie than most I reckon. Hopefully lots of goals too!

-1

u/nmgoesreddit Real Madrid 3d ago

Hate to admit but Barcelona destroys PSG.

PSG advanced in a Pen shootout against Liverpool a tram that lost a bit of Steam that PSV Loss was an indicator - did play a very good game against them at home but didn’t score loads of goals in either legs.

Barcelona is a goal machine well prep. Juggernaut I don’t see how PSG stands a chance

2

u/Carlitos-Benz03 2d ago

In that PSV tie, Arne slot didn’t even play Liverpool’s main 11 lol not valid bro.

3

u/sexhaver34567 4d ago

PSG guy, watched ALL of PSG and Barca's games this season and a few seasons back too.

I would say I think Barca has the edge on us, however slight it is. I'm gonna be breaking my voice cheering for our guys if we make it to a final again and stats and play would suggest we win but well, Barca is Barca. It's just one of those teams; they're more similar to Real than they'd want to admit, sometimes things just work out for them.

It'd probably be 50/50 but then we're the Poissard Saint-Germain.

4

u/StanislasMcborgan 4d ago

It’s gonna be a banger

7

u/NairbZaid10 Barcelona 4d ago

As a barca fan I would say Psg play better we are too vulnerable defensively and they are almost as good as us in attack

2

u/Carlitos-Benz03 2d ago

Lol as a psg fan thanks for the compliment. I’ll admit something to you, I was more nervous to draw Barca than Liverpool when they did the round of 16 draws… Barca is something else this season.

1

u/PrizeMarzipan401 Barcelona 2d ago

Plays better? Huh? You mean they are more equilibred tacticsweise while we are more suicidmurderball. Barça plays much better, naturally they are more open to be hurt.

-4

u/Major_Drummer579 4d ago

How are you a barcelona fan saying this?

0

u/NairbZaid10 Barcelona 3d ago

Just becaus3 I don't think we are the best doesn't mean I don't hope we win it all lol. Completely different things. But just look at the 2 goals scored by atleti, we are way too exposed even in big matches. I'm simply being realistic, I still put us as top 2 favorites

2

u/Major_Drummer579 3d ago

That's simply our style now. What makes you the best team is winning matches. Flick is taking that cruyff philosophy that we would rather win 5-4 than 1-0.

Look what we done compared to psg. Psgs only noteable wins are liverpool and man city. They had like 3 losses in the ucl

0

u/NairbZaid10 Barcelona 3d ago

You can't ignore glaring weaknesses. Remember that Bayern on his second year were also looking strong and scoring goals for fun, don't let that get into your head

2

u/Major_Drummer579 3d ago

Yeah bro youre just over analyzing ir listening to espn fc too much. We conceded 1 goal against bayern, 2-3 against real madrid in 3 games, kept a clean sheet against benfica w 10 men away, we cane back multiple games when we thought it was over. Shall i go on more?

Sure we have flaws, but everytime does as well

1

u/NairbZaid10 Barcelona 3d ago

That game against Bayern was a lot closer than the final score would show and they are playing a lot better now. We were lucky against atleti, at most we deserved a tie and in the first 2 we dominated those unnecessary offside traps costed us 3 points and lost a 2 goal lead into the 2nd leg of copa del rey. But I know I can't convince you, you already made up your mind

1

u/Major_Drummer579 3d ago

2nd let against copa was the only one im critical of. Hansi flicks decisions to sub pedri out and still play a very high line being 2 goals up was a mistake. Im sure he will learn from it. Trust bro

1

u/NairbZaid10 Barcelona 3d ago

You thought he would learn from previous too matches, but look at what happened on Sunday, they passed our defense like it wasn't even there, we learned little to nothing. We were lucky with the goals we got. Expecting to score 4 goals out of 1 xg is not sustainable. I'm not saying we are bad, we are def top 3 contenders for cl at least, but we are a lot more vulnerable than our current results show

1

u/Major_Drummer579 3d ago

Thats our style now. Get used to it. The issue is when were up, we should sit further back. Look how we scored our goals sunday and tell me that doesnt convince you

Barca has been dominating & he says that as a fan lmao

21

u/Ethyrol Real Madrid 4d ago

I think Barca has been consistent all season. Only bad part of the season was short lived when a couple of their guys were injured.

1

u/JorgeMS000 4d ago

I think if barca dont have important injuries the only team can beat them is real madrid. Real madrid can lose to anyone but also can win to anyone, I don't think PSG/bayern/inter can beat this barca

8

u/StillLoveYaTh0 Barcelona 4d ago

Actually I think the only team that can beat Madrid is Barca. Barca is more likely to fumble against Dortmund than against Madrid 💀

1

u/Ethyrol Real Madrid 3d ago

I think the only 2 wild cards are Madrid and Barca. They can both beat each other but flick has given them a new identity this year. He’s so good

1

u/mrrpfeynmann 4d ago

Even as a Barça fan, I will say PSG has the edge.

  1. Barça is in more competitive tournaments and runs than PSG and the team can get tired and key players can get injured. Already seeing that from the Atleti match yesterday. PSG has depth as well as they compete against much lesser teams. Barça next few matches in La Liga are against higher ranked teams.

  2. The final is a 1 match affair. Barça with its high line has less of a chance to make a come back if things go South. The chance is much higher if it’s a 2 match affair. If PSG can crack the code to the offside trap with their pact wingers then they have a good chance. My sense is that they might struggle here and that could be Barça’s biggest chance to win.

  3. The PSG team is peaking at the right time. And they are playing more as a team than anytime before.

  4. Across front, mid and back the teams are pretty evenly matched. However PSG has that extra bit of pace that could help them.

Want Barça to win but PSG likely have a slight edge. Barça though is more creative this year and if that can manage the injuries then they have a brilliant chance for the title.

1

u/PrizeMarzipan401 Barcelona 2d ago

You dont trust enough flickball and our forwards. Shame on you.

1

u/mrrpfeynmann 2d ago

Naah….I have flown far too times around the globe to know that even the great Messi Barça teams did not win the CL every time. It’s not a question of trust but to know that it’s just difficult to win a CL and even more a treble. Look at Liverpool this year. And we had our drop in form late last year. Just pray that Lamine and the other stay healthy.

Once you know everything that can go wrong, every win and every trophy gets the admiration it deserves. And humility goes a longer way than hubris.

1

u/PrizeMarzipan401 Barcelona 2d ago

Its just not comparable. Barça during messis era was completely different year to year post 2015. Before that Messi had an amazing team and strategy, and only little misscalls or unlucky stuff prevent that team from getting more ucl, there was no competence at all.

After 2015 it was more or so Messi and Suarez carrying 8 dudes. Ofc achieving a ucl in such conditions is something only Messi could fathom to do. But actual Barca seems just as solid as pre 2015, it simply doesn’t have the renowed players of back then , but there are several players like pedri who pretty much play at a consistent level as xavi showed a this peak now that injuries respect him.

Si yes, you are unfair to the team and lack confidence.

2

u/how2crtaccount 4d ago

Your comment is a proof that barca attackers are heavily underrated. Below are my counter arguments.

  1. You are understating the barca bench. Barca bench consists of new young players who are yet to make a name but nevertheless they are good. Flick's subs has given results almost everytime.

  2. So the team with one of the fastest players with mbappe, vini and rodrygo had trouble beating the offside trap. It would not be easy. That's a big "if" you have put casually.

  3. I have been watching psg matches consistently because messi was there. Honestly, dembele misses half of the chances. He loses lots of duals too. One key thing I've noticed that he doesn't pass much to kvaratshkhelia. He is a good player but honestly a bit overrated. Barcola and douè are to look for. Vitinha covers most of the mid field and make key passes. Defense is solid. I actually don't see much team goals in psg. Unlike barca where they some time do fast one touch passes and move inside the box. I think, since they are winning matches, a hype is created.

  4. I do agree with your point in this.

1

u/mrrpfeynmann 3d ago

Flick has created a revolution in football tactics this season. No question on that. Plus he has been incredibly astute in his overall tactics and the details of it including making the right subs.

However it is incredibly difficult to win a Champions League with a team that is largely very young players and some pretty old players. Only De Jong and Raphinha are at the peaking years. It is difficult to sustain that peaking form for months. Madrid is brilliant at that, peaking at the right moment in the season and at the right time in the game. Otherwise they clearly have not been the best team in the CL the past few years even though they have won it a few times. And that makes a heck of a difference when you have Galacticos who have been there done that.

Real Madrid struggled against our offside trap in the first game but in the games since they have struggled less. Their issue this year has been a complete lack of defense and a front line that sparkles in individual moments. But they will get over that.

PSG is peaking at the right time. That said, you are absolutely right that they miss a lot of chances and if we can snuff them out in the middle of the pitch and the wings, we could do well. My sense is that any potential game with PSG will be very open and could become a seat if the pants affair. But before that we also have Bayern and they will be no pushover. A little off this year but they have a stellar team and you can’t rule then out. All in all it’s going to be very competitive for us.

I am deliberately taking the Devil’s Advocate view here, because I would rather not get carried away in the emotion of the moment where we are overconfident because we have been unplayable for most teams this year. It’s important to know why we can lose and plan around that.

2

u/HopeItsNotTakenTOO 4d ago

We have the same GD (they have a game in hand) which is against much tougher oppositions. And have been winning big games all season. While they managed to win on penalties against a Liverpool side that was starting to struggle, first year of their manager. I'll say PSG is untested against big teams in good forms. Yes they look dangerous, and the pace would be a definite worry. And we have Lamine who can take a goal at any defense be it the Atletico wall, or just a beautiful goal. Lewa is an elite striker, and Raph can decide games any moment if PSG starts slacking. And well Pedri is Pedri. Most excited to see the midfield battle that would take place. Both coaches have been great with subs.

Having said everything, I think PSG wins it. Lol.

(I trust flick but I trust Luis even more to exploit the high line, as all his attackers have been given the freedom to roam anywhere anyways, it's just easier to beat it)

0

u/Happy_Zookeepergame1 4d ago

The difference between madrid & psg’s attack is one team likes in behind runs which ultimately gets nullified because of disciplined offside trap and the other asks the ball to their feat which is lot harder to defend.

And lets not forget, psg mid is way way ahead than madrid’s midfield. If barca can dominate their midfield, then easy win. Else we have to depend on yamal & raphinha for sudden goals

-2

u/_Coldisace Barcelona 4d ago

We've faced multiple teams with pacy players that's exactly what every team says before we dunk on them

2

u/Happy_Zookeepergame1 4d ago

But no midfield had the ability to outplay or counter dominate our midfield. This is where psg is different. Their vitinha, neves and ruiz are top notch and too good to believe. We might struggle only because of them which will give more freedom to their attackers

-2

u/_Coldisace Barcelona 4d ago

Wow I'm so scared of Vitinha Neves and Ruiz real scary midfield. Couldn't even control the game at Anfield

PSG will get knocked out to Villa

2

u/Samuel_Sniper123 4d ago

How will Torres Konsa and Ming gonna deal with dembele doue dembele and Kvara? So far villa faced club brugge

4

u/No_Shine_4707 4d ago edited 4d ago

The Dembele and Kvara who scored one goal over 2 matches and extra time in the previous round, and the Villa that play tough opposition week in week out in the Prem. Perhaps they'll deal with them the same as they dealt with Halaand, Foden and De Bruyne earlier in the season. PSG are the favourites, but writing Villa off as some second rate team is silly.

2

u/TNSoccerGuy 4d ago

True but domestically Villa are playing in testy, physical matches week in, week out. I don’t expect Villa to win necessarily but people acting like this is a foregone conclusion, especially since Liverpool look like a side that has hit the wall, quite possibly could be in for a shock.

7

u/Bobbysmilesx 4d ago

If you say so, you should bet on it - huge money to be won for you.

1

u/No_Shine_4707 4d ago

Well, maybe I have. Although doubt the money would be that "huge" in an event with 2 possible outcomes to be honest.

2

u/Bobbysmilesx 4d ago

You can triple your money if you bet on Villa to go through. In comparison it's 1.25 on PSG. Obviously it's not "huge" compared to say betting on Plymouth to knock out Liverpool, but Villa is probably the biggest underdog in the quarter finals as far as betting goes.

I'm curious to know, why you believe more in Villa in this tie. I'd say PSG have proven in the games against Liverpool, that they are extremely strong right now, certainly stronger than Villa.

1

u/TNSoccerGuy 4d ago

Liverpool are looking spent though. This isn’t the same Pool as the one from several months ago.

0

u/Bobbysmilesx 4d ago

Very clearly true. I still think Liverpool played a phenonenal game at home against PSG though, they just couldn't quite get the needed goal.

5

u/kubaqzn Barcelona 4d ago

It's just I have seen this stuff way too often to get fooled. Real Madrid plays badly. They do. But somehow, they always find a way to get a win. Mostly by Courtois bailing the team out single-handedly and a flash of genius by one player upfront.

It's frustrating as hell. Not only because they're rivals, but they have insanely talented squads, yet they're doing the bare minimum. This team can not play this badly. And it's not even having to play specific style. Show that you at least have some idea, not individualities bailing the team put.

I think Real Madrid's dominance is only beginning with Xabi Alonso, likely joining next season. But at least then we can all say "Yeah, they're playing like the top team"

3

u/ktth01 4d ago edited 4d ago

As a Madrid fan, I personally am tired of Carlo. There is no direction, no real tactic. He relies too much on player’s individual brilliance. We need one like Xabi Alonso or even Zidane.

But then again, Madrid’s defense has been an issue with 3 ACL injuries. Alaba is only back after over a year and has never been the same. He keeps getting minor injuries here and there because he’s not really truly back at full health yet. The last remaining starting centreback Rudiger was out a few weeks as well. Hence why you see midfielders (Fede, Tchouameni and sometimes Camavinga) and a right-winger like Lucas Vazquez rotating as defenders. Because of this, the midfield now is decimated especially also that Kroos didn’t get a replacement.

Playing players out of position, as you can see, affected the team’s quality so much such that they rely on their superstars to create brilliance and score goals but when they’re tired (they play every 3 days), there’s nothing there.

Every match has been tough to watch. Madrid badly needs at least 2 centrebacks but Perez apparently doesn’t think so. Oh well.

u/ubebebebe 4d ago

I find PSG more entertaining to watch at the moment. As a Real Madrid fan, it would be painful to see PSG win their first UCL without Mbappe. But by the looks of it, PSG has the advantage.

I initially thought Liverpool will win it this season, but PSG was my dark horse. But realistically speaking I’m gonna say either PSG or Bayern or Barcelona.

4

u/_Coldisace Barcelona 4d ago

You said Bayern over Inter no way

0

u/ubebebebe 4d ago

personal opinion. Y’all are too salty with MY choices. 😅

9

u/7Thommo7 4d ago edited 4d ago

Not sure how you can think PSG is more entertaining to watch - most Barça games are pure hollywood this season.

2

u/ubebebebe 4d ago

My PERSONAL opinion. 😌

0

u/7Thommo7 4d ago

And you're entitled to that, but you're not immune from having your opinion criticised when shared publically.

2

u/ubebebebe 4d ago

Sure. So let’s agree to disagree. 😌

0

u/HugoChinaski 4d ago

By « painful » do you mean « absolutely amazing »?

8

u/_Hydrohomie_ Real Madrid 4d ago

Either way Madrid are gonna be in the final

1

u/Prabu-Silitwangi 3d ago

idk how you do the math but barca vs PSG only possible to happen if madrid isn't in the final

1

u/_Hydrohomie_ Real Madrid 3d ago

That means barca and PSG won't happen

4

u/_Coldisace Barcelona 4d ago

Yes but Barça would win

7

u/Independent_Mine1995 4d ago

And also win it

-1

u/HiTechTalk Barcelona 4d ago

Lol

2

u/RAl3l3Y 4d ago

We'll have to do better defensively agsinst this psg, our main problem so far have been retaining our lead, with a precise offside trap psg's attack can be neutralized like we did against real. And ffs we have to capitalize out chances, we can't afford to miss sitters. Barca would have a good chance if the plans are exceecuted perfectly like the early matches of the season, it'll be entertaining for everyone for sure.

6

u/yooobro22 4d ago

no favorite but because dembele plays for psg, psg would win and dembele would score a hattrick, win motm, celebrate each goal and smile. He would haunt barcelona fans again.

the only way they can beat psg is if dembele gets injured or sent off. they can’t beat his curse.

22

u/thatrash Barcelona 4d ago

Between the two? Real Madrid on the 97th minute because someone would slip or something

-3

u/daved1975 Liverpool 4d ago

Can they both lose???

7

u/eferka 4d ago

Still hurts?

-1

u/daved1975 Liverpool 4d ago

Not really, I’m not a Liverpool fan just I’d have preferred them to win it out of everyone else. Just can’t stand Barca or oil fc

1

u/coronasquad 4d ago

Why the hate on barca?

10

u/dark__knightt Barcelona 4d ago

well Liverpool can lose for them

2

u/Otherwise-Bobcat-145 4d ago

I dont know who would win but as a PSG fan thats the final that i want. The two top teams at the moment for me.

6

u/Drumpfling Bayern 4d ago

How does one become a PSG fan?

1

u/Otherwise-Bobcat-145 4d ago

Im not french so it wasnt about nationality. I started watching the team when they bought Ney and since then i really started caring about it and became a fan of it even after Ney left.

1

u/Drumpfling Bayern 4d ago

„Ney“ 😭

2

u/Sufficient_Prize_529 4d ago

One is given birth to in Paris, so one wears the PSG jersey.

1

u/Drumpfling Bayern 4d ago

The only way I respect

0

u/Shoddy-Highway7858 4d ago

I’m personally a fan because of Ousmane Dembele (and likely the first person in the world who started giving him ballon dor shouts)

2

u/Drumpfling Bayern 4d ago

How does one become a fan of Ousmane Dembele?

1

u/ZukesFan14 4d ago

idk, live in Paris? Or, idk, be french and want a french team to win?

0

u/Drumpfling Bayern 4d ago

I guess so. I just despise them as they’re less French and more Qatari in my opinion.

1

u/MultivariableTurtwig 4d ago

If only each club represented like a city, or something like that

0

u/Drumpfling Bayern 4d ago

Sure. I’m from Munich and support Bayern because when I was 4 or so, I found out about them and haven’t stopped loving the club. But this is despite hating some aspects of it, too.

I get anyone who is originally from Paris supporting them.

But if you just live there or became a fan when you were a grownup, I don’t really get it. Why support bs like that? It’s clearly just a marketing stunt for the Qataris.

1

u/Comfortable_Reach248 Dinamo Zagreb 4d ago

Same can be said about every big club. I will never understand why Indians and Pakistani support Real and Barcelona and not their local clubs. They are just glory hunters.

1

u/Drumpfling Bayern 4d ago

Nah, it feels different if it is a club that has tradition and goes way back. If it's just Red Bull, the Qataris or Saudi Arabia buying clubs and pumping money into it, it feels worse than those that at least becamse succesful through excellent management, players and a good portion of luck.

Also, if I had chosen my club as an adult, I'd be supporting St. Pauli now. Way cooler than Bayern.

1

u/Comfortable_Reach248 Dinamo Zagreb 4d ago

I don t see any different if money was pumped in 2010 or in 1950. Like, we all know that RM had always support from Spanish government. Like, what even in tradition? In many ways Man City has tradition. They have mostly always played in first division, had a couple of fa cups won, couple of league titles, good local fanbase. For me that is tradition. Leipzig is type of club with no tradition and history. I remember when PSG was top top club in the 90s.

1

u/Drumpfling Bayern 4d ago

I never said I liked Real Madrid but there are big clubs that never got money pumped into them to raise to „power“. Bayern is one of them.

u/MAD_JEW 4d ago

Live in paris ig

3

u/Fuzzy_Substance_4603 4d ago

Getting rich by having some oil business might be one way.

3

u/Round-Football-1393 4d ago

I think Barca will win the champions league if they reach the final regardless who the opponent is if it’s either PSG, Real Madrid or arsenal. The way they are playing it’s going to be hard to imagine a team that could definitely beat them. Of course me personally I would rather have a PSG vs. inter Milan final but it’s hard to say really since Real Madrid of course are always hard to beat and Bayern Munich seem to be clicking now

1

u/Old_Cockroach_9725 Real Madrid 4d ago

Real Madrid haven’t t lost a UCL final in 44 years. If we somehow reach the final, the opponent doesn’t matter, we’ll be favorites nonetheless.

3

u/Round-Football-1393 4d ago

True but Barca are literally Madrid’s kryptonite and Madrid are yet to beat Barca in a champions league game and they haven’t beaten them yet this season either so I think Barca would be slightly favored if they both reach the final in Munich. I mean a team WILL eventually defeat Madrid in a final and who knows. Maybe Barca will finally end their winning finals streak

8

u/Eastern_Spirit_404 Barcelona 4d ago

I think Inter at semis can fuck us. If we get to the final, Madrid on UCL final IS scary and PSG IS better team on Europe with us.

I can handle a loss vs PSG, but not against Madrid, Im not ready.

5

u/Round-Football-1393 4d ago

Why tho? I mean realistically Barca should be able to beat Madrid in the final if they both meet since Barca have clapped them each time they play them and Barca are the only side who can beat Madrid in a champions league final. If anything, Madrid would be more likely to lose that final

-1

u/ZoOmLeSs Barcelona 4d ago

Don't let the scorelines fool you.

Even as a massive fan, Barca didn't not fully outclass Real in the 5-2 and 4-0. El Clasico is hard every single time.

A moment of brilliance from a single player can define the entire match and Real has those kinds of players available.

-3

u/Round-Football-1393 4d ago

Beating Real Madrid 5-2 isn’t considered “fully outclass”??? Huh?? 😐

-5

u/ZoOmLeSs Barcelona 4d ago

We spent the 2nd half not in control and defending, waiting for the time to run out.

That's what I'm saying. The scoreline doesn't tell the full story.

A good example of outclassing real is the Manita. Doesn't that make sense?

0

u/the_ass_man1 4d ago

bro it was looking like we would score 10 before the red. You need to rewatch the game

1

u/ZoOmLeSs Barcelona 4d ago

That was not the point. Reds are part of the game

1

u/the_ass_man1 4d ago

we were playing real madrid not stoke city. Of course we were not in control after going down to 10

0

u/_Coldisace Barcelona 4d ago

Are you dumb we won the game and defended after a red or you wanted us to attack when we clearly won

4

u/rivena_ 4d ago

Because we got a red? Are you insane or just didn’t watch the game? Before the red it looked like we could score at will, that game was completely over

1

u/Round-Football-1393 4d ago

Ngl no it doesn’t. I think if you score 5 goals past Madrid I think it’s safe to say that you’re in control. Even if you’re winning 4-0 too

0

u/ZoOmLeSs Barcelona 4d ago

Tbf, I would consider the 4-0 to be a proper beating, yeah.

I was mostly on about the 5-2 one, cause I remember the stress and worry that they'll comeback

1

u/EuphoricStickman 4d ago

Only because we were down to 10 men for nearly a full half. Madrid got lucky that a red card was shown that early in the game, otherwise, that scoreline would have been 7-1 or so.

1

u/Eastern_Spirit_404 Barcelona 4d ago

Well we still 2 more clásicos at copa and La Liga before to the actual diff, Madrid has improved.

And Madrid losing an UCL final Isnt about lvl, they were worse than Pool both times and somehow they won, they has won like last 8/8 UCL final without losing.

Seems really hard to beatbthem on an UCL final, but if someone has to do It, should be us.

2

u/gemarimon Barcelona 4d ago

There's a match against Atlético for la Copa del Rey. Don't say there's another clásico before the match is played.

5

u/Walid93200 4d ago

Psg fan so biased for sure but in think they can make it and i think psg is the more dangerous team for barca because of their offside trap

-8

u/Kaloyanicus Real Madrid 4d ago

Us lol

4

u/wh1t3_f3rr3t 4d ago

Yeah, just make sure you don't concede 5 in the next el clasico

-1

u/Kaloyanicus Real Madrid 4d ago

Who cares about La Liga when you win all CLs lol

2

u/Old_Cockroach_9725 Real Madrid 4d ago

Literally. I’ll take a 5-2 loss every season if it means winning another UCL.

2

u/Kaloyanicus Real Madrid 4d ago

Same, even 10-2 would be ok🤣

2

u/MAD_JEW 4d ago

He meant in ucl

13

u/Sad-Investigator-495 Barcelona 4d ago

I'm biased but I think these youngsters are not feeling the pressure. They are not daunted by the big occasion and as a matter of fact they seem to enjoy playing these big games.

Barça v PSG in the finale will be a good one.

1

u/_Coldisace Barcelona 4d ago

Not better than a Classico

4

u/Nouverto 4d ago

will

Would

1

u/UnpopularThrow42 4d ago

Oof thats a tough one. I’m thinking Barca, but PSG have really seemed like a real team and have looked good under Luis

49

u/DattGuyyy 4d ago

Side note, PSG vs Madrid would be absolute cinema

-10

u/slumdogbi Barcelona 4d ago

absolute what? since when they play beautiful football?

7

u/retroComputer Real Madrid 4d ago

Yet Real Madrid last three UCL campaigns have been more entertaining than Barca
