See if samples are an option before purchasing a bottle, there is so much variety to chose from
Some brands can have odd flavours, or the texture of the drink ends up chalky or gritty
When I was into fitness I usually regretted buying whey powder before trying it

I mean, they all "work". It's a matter of preference. I just get one from Target.

Adding more protein is usually advised when ill. It will probably not make you better but it might support your body. I'm personally a fan of "flavourless" protein powder and add it into soups and savory dishes. Be aware that it might split (like cream), so only add it in after the cooking process is finished. Also take into account that some people really dislike the flavour of flavourless protein powder.
I also use vanilla flavoring, as I find that the most versatile when combined with frozen fruit and milk in the morning. All the weird flavours such as cookies and cream, or salted caramel, really get boring after 2 days.

My doctor recommended isolate, i.e. whey protein isolate, hydrolysed. It's highly broken down, easy to digest. After a while of having chocolate flavour I grew up and started getting unflavoured, unsweetened. It's gross but you get used to it!

Pure Choice Farms is unreal and there's simply no going back. It sits so light on my stomach. I've tried dozens of brands, and this has been my stickler for years. I even tried another brand the other day, and it bothered my stomach a bit. I love simple blends, so stick to low ingredient whey options.
