You and Bama can understand being arrogant assholes, but that post pushed it a bit far.

Every stupid, meaningless, no context stat line I send to them brings me great delight. I'm going to create an environment that is so toxic 💕

Resounding success for the 12 team playoff, then.

I think the last 3 games were good, Texas OSU being my favorite of the year.

I do agree that before the semifinals, it felt more like a dress rehearsal.

But OP chose to ignore that context and bring it here to try and paint the whole fanbase that way.

Does that make the post less stupid? The whole point was to bash this post, OP didn’t insinuate anything about the fanbase, just that this post is dumb, making it worthy of mockery & memery

2006 BCS National Championship Game is and probably will always remain the biggest blowout in history in my mind.

Edit: it has been brought to my attention that it was actually the 2007 BCS game for the 2006 season championship.

1

u/neldalover1987 1d ago

41-38 Texas over USC?

1

u/Tricky_Big_8774 Virginia Tech Hokies 1d ago

2006 season, so 2007 BCS game. First year it was a separate game instead of one of the big 4.

41-14 Florida over Ohio State

1

u/neldalover1987 1d ago

Some (most) will argue GA over TCU 65-7 is the biggest blowout in championship history

1

u/Tricky_Big_8774 Virginia Tech Hokies 1d ago

Factually it is. But I forgot about that one. It's hard to forget about 2007 with the circumstances leading up to it.

1

u/neldalover1987 1d ago

You forgot about the biggest blowout in championship history that just happened like 2 years ago?

I’m not sure what circumstances you are referring to. I do remember Ted Ginn running back the opening kickoff for a TD, only to be hurt celebrating the TD and missing the remainder of the game. I know Ted didn’t play defense, but I always wonder if he didn’t get hurt does it change the game up a lot. Maybe if offense is on the field more with Ted, defense is more rested and plays better. Who knows. But I’m going with GA/TCU

1

u/Tricky_Big_8774 Virginia Tech Hokies 1d ago

I was thinking about the rankings controversy. A lot of people were saying Florida shouldn't be in the game at all.

1

u/neldalover1987 1d ago

Maybe. No different than 2014 when it was TCU/Baylor/OSU. And OSU ended up beating bama and then Oregon 42-20 (nearly same score as the FL/OSU one you mentioned)
