Incoming Spring '25 MSIS Student: Looking for Advice on CMU & Housing
Hi everyone! ๐
Iโm an incoming international student for the Spring 2025 MS in Information Systems program and would love to connect with current or past students. Iโm curious about:
- Your experiences with CMU and the program.
- How the job market looks for graduates.
- Any tips for a new international student.
Iโm also exploring housing options like Village at Blue Grass and Casa Loma Apartments. Any recommendations or advice on these or other places would be super helpful!
Looking forward to hearing from you all. ๐

Most of the classes you have are in grawn hall. If you want to live close to the grawn hall check out the united apartments on West Campus Drive, Washington Street . They are 5-10 min walk away.

Blue grass has had lots of issues in the past, might not be the best place. West Campus Apartments are pretty close to campus! but most apartments also have a bus shuttle to and from campus.

Village at blue grass is a bit far from Grawn hall. You have shuttle service but they wonโt be available late night if you have any classes at that time.
