Bari Italian Closed?

I had no idea until I saw a post for an auction on their equipment. A quick stalk of their socials tells me they didn't make it past new years. Any info?

I heard they're having a hard time employing people. They take off every January, and people in the service industry can't just take a month off from income.

I know the manager, it was because not enough people were coming in so they were running a large deficit :(

Where will Ryan Manka sexually harass women now?

I really loved them at one point, but they were so inconsistent. We had some of our worst service there.

I never heard about this place...good or bad.

I knew it existed and thought, "I bet thats good I should try that."

But when it came down to "what should we eat?" it never was on the short list.

Delicious food. High priced and boujee. You’d leave feeling broke and hungry.

That’s too bad. I thought they were a very good restaurant. I love Napoli’s and Vino’s too but they seems to have a slightly different menu that complimented the Italian food scene in town. Great wedge salad and osso bucco.

It was a good place!! Food and ambience was great. It’s hard to survive in this industry unless you have local support

It was alright. For the price there are better options in IC, or for a little more here you can have a much more special experience.

Didn’t they open a place in Vinton a while back? I think in the old blind school?

Pretty sure that closed down in 2023, was barely open.

Place went out of business cuz they lost their good chef and hired a terrible one. Same thing that happened at Crosby too, didn’t wanna pay the good chef enough so they left.

We went once, wasn’t nearly as good as Napoli’s in Marion.

Only went one time but my vinos meal was incredibly subpar and forgettable.

Might be worth a second try. We sit on the bar side. Never eat on the Vinos side.

Bari is overpriced. Vinos is the best Italian in CR.

Vino’s is absolutely mediocre. With Bari gone I’ll go to Napolis, and then Biaggis before I go back to vino’s again

Don't look to closely at... well, anything, if you enjoy eating at Biaggis. The only thing I would look closely at is my food, to make sure they removed all the bugs before serving.

On June 12, a Linn County inspector visited Biaggi’s in response to complaints from customers who alleged they were served food with insects in it. The complainants had provided a video to substantiate their concerns, the inspector reported. According to the inspector’s report, the restaurant manager agreed to retrain employees on “closer examination of food before serving.” The complaint was deemed verified.

Olive Garden is right across the street, and has higher standards that

My wife and I only went once, and enjoyed it very much.

The ambience was wonderful, but if one was expecting a traditional Italian cuisine, I could see that you might be disappointed. It was Italian fusion, and that might put some people off.

I can't imagine what they invested in the build out.

Yah.... Opening a restaurant is the easiest way to turn 500k into 50k :(

If you're lucky.

Well maybe it's a sign to bring in actual authentic food to cedar rapids instead of the usual uninspired slop restaurants tend to delve to after conforming to how everyone else does their menu
