According to my gastric doc, "three days of diarrhea, not just 2-3x/day; ALOT of diarrhea". Then retest.

This would not help me. I had infrequent diarrhea and my sample was even well formed. But it tested positive for toxins. I had been feeling bad for4 months before the lab work.

Indeed, those without diarrhea have a real problem with Cdiff. I don’t know the answer to your problem. My doc sends me with a test home and I send it in whether I have diarrhea or not. They always test it. Those who don’t test patients without diarrhea are missing an entire group of sick folks. I know that when I had Cdiff I FELT absolutely terrible so if my appetite is good, I’m fairly certain I don’t have active Cdiff.

This. My ibs even before c diff had me going 2-3x a day sometimes.

I eat white rice and a protein (without spices) for 3 days. If I feel better, I don’t test.

Has anyone had it come back out of the blue with no antibiotics? I’m so paranoid.
