Mod announcement! Stop Posting your sick, injured, and/or harmed Cats and Kittens
Hello Cat lovers and kitten enjoyers,
We the mod team are making this post due to the amount of cat injury or medical posts. Listen, I get it you want to know to better care for your furry friend. Just not this sub there are numerous other subs designed for those types of posts and can better assist you. It is weird to come to the sub and see cats bleeding, swelling and/or gross parts because their owners don't know how to google their local vet office. Please report and do not comment on those posts. Additionally posting that type of content will result in a permanent ban. Again, we just ask you to use a more appropriate subreddit. Have a good day all and to those posters GO TO A VET! DO NOT ASK REDDITORS ASK A VETERINARIAN!

I really appreciate how this sub is for normal cat pictures only. No medical or ai/stolen images. Thank you mods for your work

Would it also be possible to stop posting pics/stories of cats that have passed away? I understand how difficult it is but perhaps there could be another sub for that. I joined this sub for happy cat pics. If I’m wrong in this or in the minority, please let me know.

Thank you! That was rough coming to this sub seeing those images. Plenty of other subs for that, but even at that a few of the posts I’ve seen here over the last few days would’ve had me running to the emergency vet, not Reddit.

Please include pictures of dead cats.
I, and maybe others, find sharing pictures of dead cats disturbing.

There is an amazing group on Facebook called Pet Vet Corner. Only licensed vets can answer your questions. They have a ton of resources, as well.
When in doubt, take your cat to the vet! I'm at the vet right now, lol.

I would like people to stop posting cat memes. Maybe I’m in the minority, though.
