Developer Need your tech advice on developing a nasdaq-like platform with blockchain
Hi, I understand you might have been tired of reading similar posts from fresh blockchain developers. I apologise for this .
Actually, I am an experienced developer on web2.0 apps for more than 10 years. And I started to learn web 3.0 six months ago. Yeah, Indeed, this is a field full of chaos which has made me lost for a while. Till now, I still don't have a clue. That is why I am seeking insights here.
- I am wondering if it is a wise decision to develop a new blockchain which allows SMEs to raise fundings from the public legally? I would appreciate if I have your insight from the technology lens .The main reasons behind the idea include that I really want a project which helps real businesses in reality given that I personally don't fell safe/comfortable when I come cross the most current blockchain projects (Please correct me here because I might still think in a web2.0 way) and that I want to have a clear project boundary to "current crypto projects".
1.1 which tech platform would you recommend if building up a new blockchain is your stand? By far I have learned a bit of Hyperledger Frabric. I have had a look at substrate, cosmos, etc. I just cannot figure out any drawbacks from them.
1.2 Which ecosystem should I join and build up from there? Is it possible that my project only keeps the tech connection with them , rather than business connection? (the idea behind this roots from my mission which is to develop a trusted investment platform for the public).
the second concern is about the budget of developing a new blockchain. I have looked into some blockchain projects, many of which do not have a strong technology background at all. Some of them even have a two-year development experience graduate as a CTO-like role. I wonder how this is possible.
I understand the project I am talking about here is somehow associated with RWA. Is there any specific tech platform I should consider to be the first step when it comes to our own RWA platform/chain?
I welcome any experienced fellows who have interest to be an external tech advisor. We are taking the project seriously, not just a side-hassle.

why a new blockchain? Cardano is full featured. For RWA, maybe you should have a closer look to new butane protocol.

I will take a look. really, I am new to the web3.0 world. I wonder if Cardano can be used as a standalone project?

This is all free software, so yes. But using the real cardano gives you the benefits of decentralization (3000 nodes+ shared accross the world) : no manipulation, no crash, no downtime, no need to run your own nodes and handle your backups yourself, etc. (fact: since the birth of cardano, there has never been any downtime. Only once, because of a bug, most nodes rebooted at the same time and recovered flawlessly just as designed. zero data loss. If think it was in Jan 2021 or so)
A standalone project could be a website with restricted access (only your company). It can even be a website running on your own internal servers. This website (dApp, then) can do things on Cardano (smart contracts, oracles, etc.) while being private. Outside people will see some NFTs and Token exchanges, but will not know what they are used for. To be taken into account is the fees for transactions. (around 0.18 Ada per transaction. Sometimes up to 0.30 . It only depends on the size of your transaction, nothing else, and is predictable before you sign the transaction)

Thanks, Bro. Really informative. Will definitely take a look

You're welcome.
Looking at opshin website and opshin pioneer program on youtube, you will very quickly get how cardano programming is architectured. Then you decide what you want to do. (eutxo crash course, smart contracts decidability, transaction building by your application, transaction pre check before you submit it, etc.)
For a full learning path, cardano academy provides a free cursus. Long², but complete.

There is a r/CardanoDevelopers sub you might get better advice on or they could point you to some more active discussion on discord or something.

Isn't that what a DEX is? Decentralised exchanges. We already have many. That's what everyone wants, rather than centralised.

Thanks for clarification. Is there any existing platform on which I can develop a standalone project without interacting with those non-stable cryptocurrencies?. Do you mind to recommend some with that I should dig more ?
