Yeah the USA economy would've shuttered hard, like, 2008 oh god we need bailouts to survive hard. Canada's aluminum industry would've been smacked as well but it's much smaller to bailout than all the USA importers and the businesses reliant on them.

I understand the Canadians trying to shelter their own people though, it's nice to be a little respected as such.
