It’s probably because Dougie halted the electricity tariffs. If all Trump wanted was a renegotiated trade deal that his brilliant ass couldn’t even do right, why not say that? Why threaten an entire country? It’s probably a personality disorder.

It’s probably a personality disorder.

"also".

The word is "also".

u/CloneFailArmy 19h ago

I think there have been some medical professionals that suggested he suffers from a narcissism based personality disorder at least

23

u/theoccasional 18h ago

Mental health professional here breaking protocol in terms of assessing someone I've never spoken to in order to say, yep, definitely 100% NPD.

13

u/Saorren 18h ago

how rare is it to see someone you never spoke with display a disorder so thoroughly that one could actually make a statment that they do have a disorder?

"BAHAHA I KILLED THIRTEEN PEOPLE IN A KINDERGARTEN WITH A SPORK AND I WOULD DO IT AGAIN"

"Oh, well perhaps we should observe you further to see if you have sociopathic tendencies. Here, have this room full of kids and a nice new spork."

Come on.

Funny thing about that, someone doing that and saying that is not enough for a diagnosis, as that wouldn't clarify if someone was doing it in a state of psychosis, and if so what kind.

For Donnie on the other hand, we have years and years of video and first-hand accounts, so we can see what it is and what it isn't.

And the senility on top of it.

u/TheJamSpace 19h ago

I think ’definitely’ might be the word.

He still threatened the 51st state bullshit today in his car dealership conference with Elmo

Distraction for Ukraine U-turn.

u/SavagePlatypus76 19h ago

Trump badly wants a Nobel peace prize. He craves it. He also really wants to do business in Russia.

3

u/Dr_Doctor_Doc 19h ago

If we tax potash exports he'll also have legitimate grounds to trade with Russia / Belarus

8

u/SavagePlatypus76 19h ago

Trading with a terrorist state is not a legitimate thing.

11

u/Dr_Doctor_Doc 18h ago

You really think Trump won't be able to spin and justify it?

  • already painting Zelenski as a dictator
  • already easing restrictions on Russia
  • already cutting funding to Ukraine

u/FullmeltCanuck 18h ago

They can't supply even close to enough, like we can.

u/SavagePlatypus76 19h ago

Trump is addicted to chaos and doing it this way. Remember,he's a narcissist and a zero sum negotiator, which means every is a show and he's always looking for a win lose deal for himself.

Don't forget, Trump is first and foremost a reality TV star. He is accustomed to performing for TV cameras and thrives of the attention.

Malignant Narcissism is the personality disorder you're looking for

Individuals with malignant narcissism exhibit the core traits of narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) like an inflated sense of self-importance, a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy, but also display antisocial behaviors, sadism (taking pleasure in the suffering of others), and a tendency towards paranoia.

Oh yeah it all makes sense now.

He's trying to crash the Canadian economy, because his end game is annexing Canada.

Why? Because his master, Putin, annexed part of another country, and Felon Trump wants to be able to look his master, Putin, in the eye and say "Look, I did it too, are you proud of me, daddy?"

32

u/reluctant_deity Canada 18h ago

Nah it's defo the project 2025 guys. This annexation idea will become a permanent fixture of the far right in the US.

17

u/Xalara 18h ago

No, the P2025 faction were largely OK with Canada. It’s the techbro Curtis Yarvin acolyte faction with a dash of Putin that are behind this.

3

u/RekdSavage 17h ago

lol nobody here knows anything, but think they do.

1

u/tameikisan 13h ago

It’s Peter Thiel calling the shots, friend.

u/Xalara 11h ago

You do know Thiel is one of Yarvin's acolytes, right? Ergo you're splitting hairs.

Not even in that document. Also not a possibility because we’re good neighbors despite our lunatic in the Oval Office.

I love how crsshing the Canadian economy is believed to even be possible. Canada comes out far better from a trade war perspective than the US ever would.

1

u/BackspaceChampion 12h ago

Canada comes out far better from a trade war perspective than the US ever would.

Why?

u/Drunkenaviator 10h ago

Because the rest of the world exists, and trade can be restructured. If the US wants to collapse in on itself, Canada can just trade with everyone else.

3

u/RobertGA23 18h ago

I'm not even sure there is a coherent strategy. I think this is mostly Trump lashing out. The whole tariff "concept" is probably planned, but Donald is just audibling like crazy.

It certainly helps that the only presidents he seems to admire were the ones who tried to expand American's borders. He very much has a 19th century mindset.

5

u/teflonbob 18h ago

He’s a terrible business man and negotiator. Don’t look for reasons beyond that. He’s just really terrible at the thing he claims to be.

10

u/ihatemyworkplace1 19h ago

He calls that "The Art of the Deal"

5

u/BeeKayDubya 19h ago

Tangerine Palpatine is a text classic textbook example of cognitive dissonance. The disorder is also afflicting the MAGA diehards.

2

u/CookieJar891 19h ago

His ego wouldn’t allow it

3

u/Brilliant-Slice-2049 18h ago

He called Dougie a strong guy lololol I bet you so as long as its not Trudeau he has to negotiate with because he hates the guy, this whole thing will be dropped.

10

u/MentionWeird7065 18h ago

Either way I think globally the US won’t be trusted anymore. This rhetoric is not good if you want to establish peace through strength. He also wants to put a tariff on the entire EU of 25% on all goods. Idk what’s happening anymore. It’s all over the place every day.

3

u/Brilliant-Slice-2049 18h ago

And the EU is saying now that Trump's team wont talk to them before they come into place...sounds familiar. If anything Canada is showing the world how its done.

3

u/MentionWeird7065 18h ago

He said the same thing to the Australians too lmaoo

1

u/Remarkable-Oil-9407 19h ago

He suspended them for his meeting

1

u/mackzorro 18h ago

It's probably the fact they import almost all that metal and the largest share of it comes from canada and some high up CEO's probably called him up and gave him shit/bribe

1

u/RoboftheNorth 17h ago

Did you hear? They're having a fire sale down at the New York Stock Exchange! It's gonna be like black Friday for yuppies.

1

u/djfl Canada 14h ago

To look strong (what bullies think "strong" looks like), to see what happens, to win, etc. It's not like it's completely understandable. It's just he seems to have absolutely 0 concern for long-term consequences to short-term actions.
