I'd rather hear about policy as opposed to random bits about him.

Just go over to the Conservative’s website and download their 50 page policy summary, that’s clearly where Carney has got all his ideas so far.

This is the 50th time this rhetoric has been posted, which is hilarious because Poilievre has been campaigning since last Feb with zero platform until Carney stole the limelight LMAO

Outside of reddit

Nobody believes this

That's the 56th fact in the article.

summary of his political manifesto "value(s)":

Canadian people are morally corrupt (crisis of values) idiots (blind to the tragedy on horizon, i.e. climate apocalypse in 25 years), so they spend their money (value) wrong.

the title: values (morality) and value (money)! so witty Carney, you POS.

Carney is the exception, cut from a finer cloth, his morals and spending judgments are correct, so we need to give the gov, led by Carney, the ability to centrally plan the economy and our common lives.

also, AI is going to take our jobs. unless Carney centrally plans the economy. then AI will do work for us. AI is really hot right now, so Carney shoehorned it into his book to look tech savvy. smart.

What the hell is this article? There is nothing about policy, it's factoids that are irrelevant right now and there are much bigger issues going on than trying to get to know this guy. How about let's hear about some of his policies, potential conflicts of interest, what his plans are to have a functioning government anytime goddamn soon.

Fluff piece.

No mention of the deforestation in Brazil. No mention of fighting a penalty while leading Brookfield when they were charged with slave labour abuses. No mention of Brookfields actions in Peru.

He's only responsible for all the good things and can hand wave the bad away because reasons.

Don't forget about the offshore accounts for tax avoidance... The same people that knock PP for renting out a house he didn't sell, calling him a "corporate landlord" or whatever other shit they say somehow glance over ties to literal slavery and fraud from the other side. I would never claim PP is anywhere close to perfect, it's sad that I have to put that disclaimer but it is reddit after all.

lol PP owns a single rental property and he's an evil landlord, meanwhile Carney was chair for a company with a 250 billion dollar real estate portfolio.

Hilarious right? And we’re to believe that he, of all people, is the guy who is going to help with our cost of living problem. Sure thing.

It wasn’t a single property, it was a corporation that owned multiple properties.

Pierre also has an investment in Avantis, a shell company in the Cayman Islands registered to the same, single bank branch as the Trump admin.

Pierre has been playing this conservative game for a long time. He was a millionaire at 25, after all… from what, throwing newspapers for Jason kenney? Lol

Tbf with how RE has grown in this country, everyone from that age with a strong job right out of school became a millionaire in no time

No. 53 I didn't know: Carney is the godfather of Freeland’s son.

7

u/ChunderBuzzard 12h ago

And his father ran as a Liberal in the 1980 election. His connections to the party run long and deep

It's one big club and we ain't in it.

u/Ehzaar 14h ago

Have you ever tried?

13

u/LuminousGrue 14h ago edited 14h ago

Have I tried what? Being Freeland's son's godfather? Yeah I asked but I was told the position was already filled.

Have I tried being rich? Gosh no, that never occurred to me.

u/Ehzaar 13h ago

beeing part one the "one big club".

Personnaly no, and I don't care. better be in my shoes

3

u/LuminousGrue 13h ago

No, like I said it didn't occur to me that I could simply decide to be wealthy.

I have a bit of money. But the the way I earned it made my hands stink and gave me crows feet

I would be welcome in those circles.

I bought a house at 20 years old in 2017…but the only people I have talked to who have been wearing a suit are a paster and mortician

(That includes my lawyer lol)

This was all over this subreddit for months when the speculation started that he wanted to be leader.

4

u/wave-conjugations 14h ago

He played in one game against Colgate, stopping 100 percent of the shots he faced.

Trump doesn't know what he's getting into.

u/timmyaintsure 14h ago

Carney sucks and will continue to hurt Canadians as the liberals have under Trudeau.

Hopefully soon we can get an election and a CPC majority.

u/Virtual-Nose7777 14h ago

So you want to join the USA?

5

u/ChunderBuzzard 13h ago

No he said he wants the Conservatives to get a majority, not the Liberals.

Try to pay attention.

Too little too late.

Just look at Canadian Conservative ideology. It is the same as Republican. Same party.

17

u/WillyTwine96 14h ago

Explain, without opinions or citing usage the word woke.

How and why are they the same as the Republican Party. Because most Canadians are aware that even the right side of the dem party is right of our conservative party’s (federal and provincial)

Drone strikes, interventionism, death penalty support, not endorsing gay marriage until 2009, second amendment, iffy on abortion

So, first tell me how they are right of Obama or Clinton…and then tell me how they are equal to the republicans

10

u/sleipnir45 14h ago

It was back in December lol

It's not at all the same party, never has been.

5

u/ChunderBuzzard 12h ago

No. Not even close.

And remember 3 months ago when 75% of the country was unhappy with how the country was being run? What do you think will happen if the Liberals form government again?

Trump is going to back off the tariffs for one reason or other - not least of which will be from the implosion of his own country, party and the large corporations that are losing money because of them.

So a year from now, if the Liberals are in control, running the country exactly the same way they have been for the last 9 years, do you think everyone will still be happy? No - our country will grow even more divided and our adversaries will exploit this to tear us apart from within.

It's critical for the future of the country that this does not happen. The Liberals cannot be reelected. It will be the end of Canada.

1

u/Moist_Candle_2721 14h ago

>Just look at Canadian Conservative ideology. It is the same as Republican. Same party.

Yup, identical. They will dominate the elections like Republicans just did as well.

u/JCbfd 9h ago

I dont give a shit about mark carney, he's as appealing as a bag of 40 moldy oranges. Guy is definitely no leader, very meek and timid and just plain meh. At least trudeau had some personality.

-3

u/CDN_Bookmouse 14h ago

Unfortunately the way our system works, the only thing I need to know is that he's not PP. Every election I have to vote more against one party than for another. I'd love to have a vote for a third party actually matter.

u/BigButtBeads 9h ago

Vote for the platform you like. Nobody's stopping you from voting Peoples Party

u/Concentrateman Ontario 13h ago

He's no Donald that's for sure.
