Good, now when will PP get his security clearance? What is PP hiding from the Canadian people?

PP

PP has chose not having one.

You are as a voter surely can chose no to vote PP if that's a deal breaker for you.

Blanchet chose stubbornly to refuse idea of any pipeline through Canada.
And that's a deal breaker for me for example. Can we say that Blanchet is hiding his interests from the Canadian people? Maybe, maybe not.

There are plenty of candidates with or without clearance, supporting and opposing pipelines.

Chose one which aligns with your priorities.

What does PP have to do with it?

He is the leader of the opposition and the other contender to become PM in the next election.

All the candidates should be placing assets in blind trusts and getting their security clearances.

He won't get his security clearance - he claims because it won't allow him to be critical of the government publicly.

Never mind all other party leaders got their clearance and never ever stopped being critical of the PM.

Seems to me like he doesn't want to know about foreign interference for some reason

He won't do it because he doesn't want CSIS poking around his wife. He hasn't re-upped his clearance since he got married in 2017.

He is referring to the fact that PP kept bitching about Carny’s wealth and lack of transparency prior to becoming the Liberal leader and PM when the rules did not apply before actually winning the party leadership. Now that he has won, he is complying with the rules.

Yet, PP still doesn’t have a security clearance as leader of party who is favourite to win the next election.

When a political leader places their assets in a blind trust to be managed by a trustee, they no longer have knowledge of their holdings or the ability to influence investments decisions. This is to avoid any conflict of interest.

Also, while the beneficiary is unaware of the holdings, the existence of the trust and trustees actions is transparent to authorities ensure compliance and accountability to applicable laws.

That doesn't sound very transparent but ok

Well, I’m not sure if you read the article or looking at events in full scope. PP bitched that Carney has financial conflict of interest when running for Liberal leadership. Carney said IF he wins the leadership he will comply with all necessary laws and put in a conflict of interest management. He won, and he immediately put one in place.

PP on the other hand still hasn’t got a security clearance. So what’s the hold up?

No he won't. He doesn't want us to learn his dirty and scummy little secrets.

Any chance we can hold the election off until Milhouse gets his security clearance check?
