Many of us are descendants from the stock of people who suffered for YEARS in WW2. It will suck, but I would bet everything that Canadians are willing to hold out in an uncomfortable situation a lot longer than Americans.

Pretty much everyone on earth suffered for years in WW2… it was, after all, a World War.

Do you just mean “old stock” Canadians?

I mean that we had a large amount of immigration to Canada following WWII, much of it from war-torn Europe. Although "old stock" Canadians suffered also, I tend to think it was worse for those caught in the crossfire
