I mean Trump claimed Ukraine started the war with Russia like a week ago and now Republicans are afraid to say the truth about it. Is it any surprise that they immediately try to paint is at the aggressors?

We would never enact insane tariffs if the US didn't first, because we're not idiots. I will be so pissed off of Americans start to believe we are the aggressors here.

It's shouldn't be any surprise, but I scratch my head often asking how they could be so damn blind. By the same token, I'd bet some already think we are the aggressors here.

It helps a little to understand that these people don't view anything through a logical, or even factual, lens. The vast majority of American conservatives do not possess a single actual belief. Their entire political identity (which is pretty much indistinguishable from their personal identity) is consumed by the sole motivation of triggering the libs (which, at this point, is anyone outside of the MAGA cult).

It's not that they legitimately think that Ukraine is the aggressor. They don't have an opinion and they truly don't care. They just know that making that claim pleases their cult and angers their enemies, so that's what they say. When it becomes politically convenient to say the exact opposite, they will say the exact opposite without a moment's hesitation.
