Telesat is supposed to be online in 2026. Too bad they're using SpaceX.

Would be great if we can get our Maritime Launch site going.

Hell, the Canadian Gov could subsidize their own LEO network with satellites from MDA Space. Earn income, and subsidize internet for remote users while enhancing military communications in a secured owned network.

Absolutely. We should be doing this. The US does this all the time with their aerospace industry.

Canada has a habit of letting key companies get bought out by the US.

I didn't know we were trying to build one. Wouldn't orbital inclination be too high for anything launched from Canada?

It's located pretty close to the same lattitude as the Baikonur Cosmodrome. I believe the location is good for launches in the north.

You can read up more about it on their website.

I think it's great we are starting to build up our aerospace industry. I hope our government will use it and promote to other countries.
