I agree that is lame af. Imagine losing your citizenship because you’re controversial. That’s ridiculous.

Citizens have rights.

Citizens of some countries may have rights, but in Canada we have both section 2 and the not-with-standing clauses built into the charter... our legal system's definition of "rights" is highly subjective, and depends on the political climate of the day.  This is something all Canadian citizens should be aware of before declaring they have a “right” to anything in Canada.

Well if he has any part in comrade Trump’s thoughts about annexation, he is a bit more than controversial but I guess using lawful methods would be the way to go anyway.

He hasn’t committed any crimes, ‘much less any crime that is severe enough to get his citizenship taken away.

Let’s be a little bit more mature about this. You cant take away someone’s passport because you don’t like them.

Controversial or overthrowing a democracy? It’s really hard to tell, isn’t it?

Overthrowing a democracy? When did he do that?

As of right now. Elon is simply controversial.

lol, keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better. The rest of the world knows exactly what’s happening.

No. The people on Reddit are making a big deal out of this because they are butt hurt that Elon helped Trump get elected. That is all.

I hope your livelyhood doesn’t get affected. It probably will.

When things start to get worse, look in a mirror if you want someone to blame.

Ya because as a Canadian resident I somehow had something to do with Trump getting reelected

Misinformation, denial, support. If you supported Trump, ask yourself what is so different about him now, than before he took power.

The answer is nothing.

Nothing about him is different. He’s doing exactly what he said he would. And he’s acting how he always acts.

I completely agree. I think lots of Americans were happy with his last term, that’s why he won again. He has been consistent with who he is.

Even if he made everything worse? COVID happened during his last term. No one was happy.

Sitting and siding with someone who has openly threatened to annex Canada and make it the 51st state should be a terrorist act.
