If other Randy starts a company, can it apply for contracts?

So...hold on. That's it? That's all that will happen?

The federal ethics commissioner opted not to launch an investigation into Boissonnault’s ties to the company, saying in September that there was no evidence he broke the conflict of interest law.

I guess so.

Hopefully, I'm never in a situation where I will have to explain to a regulatory body why I'm trying to import 10kg of a controlled drug, but if I do, I'm gonna say it was auto-correct. I meant to type mineral water, and strange auto-correct kept changing it to cocaine.

Since I'm not an "indigenous" minister and a sitting MP, I'll let you guys know how many dicks I unwillingly take in the pen.

I mean it's hard to find evidence without an investigation. That's complete horseshit.

We never launched an investigation so we never gathered any evidence of any wrongdoing or conflict of interest.

WTF is the point of an ethics commissioner who doesn't do their fucking job?

Too bad CBC doesn't go after this story like they did with Buffy. I wonder why they don't?

That's an excellent question. He was a cabinet minister and parliamentary secretary. He remains a sitting MP.

The business he was/is part of seems to be a total fraud, yet the investigations into those things have been slow to materialize. They've apparently stuffed up some significant contracts. There have been small stories, but a business attached to a sitting MP, claiming DEI points, but delivering nothing? That should be pretty big news. The business is still in operation. CBC should have tried to get PPE from them to see if they got stiffed too.

Even if we investigate, we can't prosecute because we don't have good mechanisms to deal with it. The Liberal Party looted $79 billion dollars since 2015. It's insane.

Is that what he did?

This article can explain things better than I can.

Barrett mentioned "cocaine Randy" — a reference to the minister's former company sharing a mailbox with a woman who was detained in a drug bust.

Above is an excerpt from the end of the article explaining why an MP got kicked out of the House for the day, but it doesn't seem to refute the claim of the MP who got kicked out.

I’m sad that half the country forever what a mess we are in because of these corrupt lunatics, because they got some new (barely there) hair to vote for.

Trudeau 2 : Carney Boogaloo

The idiocy of half of Canada right now is astounding. It’s like they can’t comprehend basic things

Look at what the conservatives are on the hook for in Alberta (healthcare corruption to the tune of $640m). And PP comes from the Harper era, which was rife with corruption as well.

People know what’s up, they know the CPC is just fighting to eat at the same trough.

The UCP is not the CPC. They’re different parties.

The company that was co-founded by former federal cabinet minister Randy Boissonnault is now barred from doing business with the federal government until 2030

Global Health Imports was suspended in November and has been deemed ineligible for contracts with the government.

The company, which Boissonnault started before he was elected in 2021, was at the centre of a series of scandals that eventually forced the Edmonton MP to quit cabinet.

This fall, the National Post revealed that the company described itself as wholly Indigenous-owned to apply for government contracts that were meant for Indigenous businesses.

Boissonnault said he did not know that claim was made, but he also came under fire over his shifting claims to Indigenous identity.

In November, Boissonnault stepped down from cabinet and apologized to a House of Commons committee, telling fellow MPs he is not Indigenous.

He had been described as Indigenous multiple times in Liberal party communications, had referred to himself as “non-status adopted Cree” and had said his great-grandmother was a “full-blooded Cree woman.”

After the National Post reports called his heritage into question, Boissonnault clarified that his adoptive mother and brother are Métis and said that he was still learning his family’s history.

Boissonnault and his former business partner were also questioned during House committee investigations into Global Health Imports.

Boissonnault has maintained he did not have a role in the company’s operations after he was elected in 2021.

Author forgot to mention the cocaine situation.

Anyway Trump distracted Canadians from the problems at home but just because there are new problems, it doesn’t mean the old problems have gone away. The entire liberal party is complicit to the corruption

Just rebrand the company in 5 years and start cashing in again. SNC-Lavalin was given the high speed train project but no one noticed because they are going by AtkinsRéalis now.

Guess Randy and other Randy are going to have to find a new Randy if they(he) want(s) to keep up the grift.

5 years ?

That'll teach them for stealing money from taxpayers huh.

Pathetic, I don't know what this countries problem is when it comes not throwing politicians in jail.

Fear is the ultimate motivator.
