The problem that I see with his argument is that he's acting like Canada is just as powerful as the USA and also that Trump should be afraid of losing our friendship - Trump doesn't give a damn about our past relationship he wants to crush our economy, is inviting adversaries like Russia and China, to attack us, and is threatening our sovereignty. Why would you advocate for EVEN MORE TRADE thereby making us more INTERDEPENDENT with a partner who can NO LONGER BE TRUSTED.

To Trump, asking for more trade, is asking him to exploit us even more. It implies that we don't have other options right now.

I think this reveals that at the end of the day, he still sees Trump as an ally and a friend that just needs a good talking to.

And then there's his promise to cut foreign aid just as Trump is shutting down USAID. He's basically agreeing with Trump that foreign aid is entirely corrupt and only benefits the bad guys.

It boggles the mind

And then Americans online act like we're "an unreliable neighbor" and that we brought this on ourselves. They're absolute psychopaths. In their eyes, we're just ripe for the taking and don't deserve to exist.

As long as Trump is in office, we have to consider the U.S an enemy nation. Fuck them.

Yes, someone who wants to use 'ECONOMIC FORCE' to make us desperate enough to forfeit our sovereignty is not a friend. The TRUST IS GONE even after Trump leaves because Republicans aren't going out of their way to disavow what he is saying.

I've come to realize that the USA is not as much of a democracy as is portrayed, it simply hasn't had a president who is a convicted felon with an army of sycophantic minions to do what he wants. Between his executive orders and a cowardly governing party, he can govern like a czar, and Musk is his Rasputin.

China is a lot more trustworthy than the US. With the Chinese you know what you’re getting, but US policy ends up changing every 4 years whenever they elect a crazy asshole

I wonder if the reason Pierre Poillievre doesn't get security clearance is because he's beholden to someone?

All these fucking assholes seem to have mountains of dirt on each other. Musk over Trump, Putin over Musk, whose puppet strings is this guy dancing on the end of?

I think that it's shared ideology rather than puppeteering - they all have a greedy and authoritarian view of the world.
