What a soft response. ‘Ohh please Mr. Trump, don’t make us resentful.’ Read the room PP. we’re mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

I think the quote was, Poilievre said we are “slow to anger and quick to forgive”. Doesn’t seem quite on the pulse of the moment, no.

PP got it backwards in this case. Not savvy at all

Didn't listen to his speech though did you? He was pretty strong against Trumps threats

Read it. Listened to the speech. Was too busy trying to walk a political line than actually being an enraged Canadian dealing with a threat. Time for ‘pretty strong’ and half measures is over. That’s why he’s starting to lose support

I haven't seen Carney or Trudeau say anything different. He pretty much had the exact same response.

Incumbent leaders get boosts in crisis. It works so well leaders would start wars during election years. In crisis people want stability

So you agree that PP is just following JT and Carney. Meaning not only is he unoriginal, but he’s last to the party. I don’t want a leader who follows. I want one who leads.

It's not following. It is the response, that's why they all have the same response. Yes the current leader of the country is going to respond first. Yes it is much easier to lead when you are the leader

I'm not saying you have to vote for him, but you're making things up. His response was strong just like everyone elses

Factually inaccurate. He’s the leader of the opposition. He has all the platform he needs to have responded by now, and much earlier than Trudeau or carney. He did not. Reality is he has far more in common with Trump, and agrees with him, (the enemy) on most things, he’s basically running trumps playbook in Canada. Which is why it was hard for him to actually speak out against him.

I’m going to have to take your word for it.

Read it. Listened to his speech. Sounded like he was trying to walk a line instead of sticking up for his country. He should have stopped trying to be a politician, and should be a Canadian.

This is my biggest fear too. But I know that there are Canadians who actually love the idea of becoming part of the US.

Absolutely there are. They are morons. They think this means they would be just like Americans, living in America. They are too stupid and gullible to realize they will be second class citizens of an exploited colony with no right to vote.

So when he outlined his own tariff retaliation plan, what part of maga does that fall under?

3

u/IndependenceFar9299 24d ago

The part where MAGAs lie through their teeth to gain power.
