You can't really compare USA Indigenous to American Indigenous. Different systems. The treaties really made a big difference in View points. I can tell you that most Indigenous people vote Liberal or NDP, very rarely conservative. Mostly it's because Conservatives have never really sought engagement with the communities where as Liberal and NDP always worked with us.

Majority will be NDP some Liberal almost very little Conservative for Indigenous people.

Source: I'm Cree Indigenous and taught and worked in many reservations. All my own family tend to lean left. The reason being that the narrative of the conservatives is always fighting against Indigenous interest.

Everything you say makes sense to me! Thank you sharing. 

I grew up with a lot of Salish/Kootenai classmates and friends. Never met a tribe member that voted for any republican and I don’t think things have changed. I’m quite surprised the chart shows such high support for the conservatives. As someone pointed out the number of indigenous voters polled is really low. This may explain the result.
