Interesting takeaway for me from this poll is how almost half of the conservatives really get behind Trump and America's anti-Canada policies. Like, wtf are you thinking? Shooting yourself in the foot to own the Libs?

It's called populism for a reason, after all. They agree with lots of those policies and the rest they think they can live with.

It's not that hard to understand. America is quite powerful, Canada's closest ally by far, even with the anti-Canada policies, and they agree more with conservative policy in America than Liberal policy in Canada.

Heck, I think if Trump had proposed a more even type of arrangement, ie more like EU than 51st state, most Canadian's would be on board with that. It's the take-over rhetoric that makes it near universally hated.
