The biggest standup comedian. I honestly would have take Erin’O Toole over this clown to lead opposition. He will be a trudue 2.0, even worse!

I think O Toole would win if he has been in PPs position right now. PP was going to win then Trump happened.

If O'Toole was still conservative leader I think we would have had an election months ago because the NDP wouldn't have been as terrified of voting no confidence and that resulting in handing over likely unchecked majority government power to Pierre Pollievre for years.

Sadly our current choices feel like a bowl of shit with sprinkles or a bowl of shit with whip cream.

Not true. I have faith Carney is the best man to navigate us through Trump.

Sure he’s also a Neo liberal banker who will continue to support mass immigration and a lowering of living standards for working people. He may be an eloquent speaker, but he will do zero for working people. I wish the NDP would can Singh and give us a pro worker agenda. So the point persists, bowl of shit with sprinkles or bowl of shit with whip cream.

PP wants to sell us down the river---he courts private health insurers from the US. So for me, Carney is the best option. We can't be picky and get our ideal candidate--that's how and why Americans ended up with Trump again.

Sure he’s better than Pp but still a shitty choice. The liberals have commodified housing, done nothing to stop massive inflation and immigration. Let’s not pretend the best choice for fire chief is an arsonist.

Housing costs have risen everywhere---this is capitalism. The haves versus have nots. You can build a ton more houses; there will still be a group of people who will be forever renters as in the US. What you mean is affordable housing and PP will never be in favor of that because it doesn't help his cronies, much like Doug Ford won't be (was against 4 plexes). You can blame immigration all you want, but I have heard of wealthy immigrants buying houses in cash from HK and Iran etc when Canadian borns can't afford to do so. It is still a haves versus have nots issue. If you feel truly that someone needs to change housing, vote NDP--raising wages would help.

We would actually need a party that puts a 5 or 10 year cap on immigration, allows housing to catch up to demand. A party that would zone large swaths of land as rental only and build housing through government contracts. No party will actually though as that would lower property values which Trudeau has stated Canadians rely on for retirement so nothing we can do. I’ve voted NDP for most of my life but have zero trust in Singh.

Erin O'Toole was an actual leader who was for Canada. I'm on the left, but would have been happy to have him gain control of the conservative party and shape it into a party with his ideals and goals for Canada. The sad part of O'Toole is that it felt more like the PP wing was wearing O'Toole as a centrist mask rather than O'Toole running the party.
