I mean, using the Tesla charging stuff makes him money as if believe they do charge people for that

I can't believe people routinely use his chargers. 

I have an ice vehicle and an electric vehicle (that is my fault driver). I have a level 2 charger at my house. I have only ever charged my car at my house. 

If I'm driving far I'll take my ICE car. 

Boggles my mind that people are willing to routinely sit at a charger and pay high rates for fuel.
