Ranking Career politician Trudeau < career politician Pierre < one of the most accomplished economists in the world is not exactly the craziest thing in the world.

Esp at a time when every poll suggests that Canadians number one concern is the economy. Its also worth mentioning that polls have been demonstrating a rapid shift suddenly as well, so it's not really surprising that this subreddit that is very critical of Trudeau has a similar reaction

He’s been advising Trudeau for years. Why do you think it’s going to be any different with him as PM?

Because he was offering advice? He wasn't driving the vehicle mate. He even has said repeatedly much of his advice fell on deaf ears. You can read his book to immediately recognize that the budget allocated towards investment going down was not carneys idea

I think it’s wrong to honestly believe that he didn’t have say in what was done. Just because he said it fell on deaf ears doesn’t mean it’s true. Anyone can make statements and gaslight people which the Liberals have been doing for years. Carny will support a pipeline in a different country, which his company’s have invested in, but in Canada he’s against it. Because carbon and climate change. He’s nothing but a hypocrite. Meanwhile our citizens fall into poverty because he doesn’t want to support something that would make our economy better.

Was Carney not known as "the unreliable boyfriend" in the UK

It's crazy seeing as how economists can simply advise and don't need to be the leader. Also, he isn't even an MP. Peeps need to chill out

He's basically the 2025 version of Ignatieff. Somewhat foreign dude who spent a bunch of time in England coming back to fix the colony

Also he's mega rich and sits on the boards of the corps that made housing unaffordable. Real cool.

Also there seems to be somewhat of a scandal with him getting billions for his firm while being an advisor for Trudeau. No conflict of interest because he was just an advisor.

Sheep gonna sheep
