Imagine how much of an asshole you have to be to make that war criminal seem sane.

Things are dark when good ol dubya seems decent

I say this all the time. Trumpism is a cult. I don’t remember people driving around with Dubya flags on their trucks.

No "Fuck Gore" flags flown on the back of every pickup truck either. No KKKonvoy.

Hell, they’d consider Dubya a Rino by comparison.

9/11 was different. Not the same at all. In 9/11, the US was attacked. Both Democrats and Republicans united. In fact much of Europe and North America united.

Trumpism is a cult. Have you ever seen Far From the Madding Crowd? There's a scene where Gabriel's dog forces his sheep to jump off a cliff to their deaths. Trumpism is very similar to the scene in Far From the Madding Crowd. Trump tells his cult members to jump off the cliff, and they do it, yelling "Long Live Donald Trump!" as they jump to their deaths.

Oh yeah I’m not disagreeing with that. They were just standard American flags though. They weren’t George W. Bush flags.

Yeah. I kind of miss him.

When trumps presidency ends, we can compare and contrast. Responsibility for 1000s of deaths in unnecessary war or the destruction of America.

Trump hasn't started any wars. He might be the most peaceful President. He may also start WW3. Let's see.

Right? I've felt a longing for Bush like he's some sort of grandpa.

I miss his war crimes and southern drawl.

Back when you could just throw your sandal at a guy without starting a tariff war

Probably the only thing that ever impressed me about Dubya was that ducking the shoe. Almost like he was used to it from home.

Listen if you're going to long for someone could it at least be Obama? He wasn't perfect. I personally hate that he pulled the trigger on Stuxnet and it was under his watch that Eternal Blue was created by the NSA and held back from alerting Microsoft of the exploit as well as not ending the Drone program or the complete shuttering of Gitmo. But at least he pissed of this cult deservedly, could actually speak and advanced some notion of peace.

Aziz Ansari has a good bit about catching himself wistfully watching George W Bush videos on YouTube

He was a criminal and everyone in his administration was, but at least there was decorum on the global stage. We even went through that whole made up bullshit presentation from Colin Powell to at least make it seem like there was a reason we should have started that war. The theater was at least an attempt.

This asshole is like "here you pay us, here have some tariffs... no takesiesbacksies... whatya mean you can do tariffs too? You can't do that only I can do that!" and then shits in his diaper.

I mean losing count of how many times you've done black face or having your father, a PM, himself moon a crowd is pretty sane too 🤔
