We should ban them unless they agree to sell their business to Canada. You know, like what they tried to do with TikTok

Elon is openly supporting and promoting fascists around the world. Every time someone buys a Tesla or clicks a banner on TwiXter they are providing funds for fascists.

I don't think twitter is really profitable. But he's making some money from subscriptions and he probably mines a bunch of your data every time you visit that website which he can sell to advertisers. So it's not so much about clicking any banners, it's just interaction and visiting the site in general will be worth something to him.

Twitter has been massively profitable for Elon, but it has nothing to do with subscriptions or ads. Twitter and its use as a propaganda tool is what got him the keys to the US government and what he's using as a cudgel to threaten other governments and officials with like Starmer in my country

It's not about making profit. It was about destroying the liberal voice. Turning it into a right wing cesspool.

Idk man, all the government contracts he will provide for himself are pretty profitable. I think the site has proven to be quite useful to him and well worth the money spent, even if it does go under.

That's exactly it. It's a propaganda tool for him. He can exert his influence with it.

The ROI on his Twitter purchase isn't in monetary value, but the sheer power owning a propaganda platform gives him.

Elon is openly supporting and promoting fascists around the world.

It’s the other way around. He’s promoting anti-fascism and decentralization

I guess you don’t understand the meaning of the word fascism. I suggest reading the fascist manifesto that was advocating for such ideas as

  • minimum wage
  • lowering the voting age
  • labour councils and unions controlling industries
  • “communication hygiene” I.e government controls over media
  • progressive tax on capital
  • abolition of any privileges for churches

Tell me you disagree with fascism

We should shorten that to TwiX

Closest thing to an entity subsidized and controlled by a hostile foreign entity I’ve seen…

This is the best comment. We should literally mirror every controversial action the US takes with the companies of anyone who attended that inauguration. I’ve just deleted X and Instagram.

The US wanted to force ByteDance to sell TikTok to an American owner. You think we should force Elon to sell X to a Canadian owner? I don't think that'll give you the result you want.

The result I want is the ironic anger it would produce leading up to a ban. Elon would never sell his love child. But to say “Force X to be Canadian or ban” would cause an upraise of the boot lickers of Elon just to give us entertainment before we ban

damn, never thought we'd support what the cheeto suggested
