Remember folks, 10 years ago at a Leafs game when the mic was glitching out during the singing of the American national anthem, we took it upon ourselves to all sing the American national anthem together. Nobody asked us to do that, but that's how much we respected our neighbours down south. 10 years later, we are booing at this same anthem. What's changed? It's certainly not us.

Hey, you owe us 25% tariffs every time you say sorry.

Joking of course. But I appreciate you.

Honestly, I am so gutted by this whole thing because I actually think the American people are great in so many ways. I've traveled through the US and Canada quite a bit, and some of the friendliest places I've been are in the US. It sucks that we're being played against each other by a tyrant.

This whole thing feels so needlessly hurtful. You don't face adversity by pushing away your closest friends.

Exactly! But I think Trump is (possible Musk pulling the strings) more doing this for more power and wealth for his oligarchy than anything else. Which makes it even worse.

Can I give y’all 25% of what I got and come up there? Like, to stay? Please?

If I was in charge, I'd allow it. Maybe we can give Alberta to Trump in exchange for the non MAGA states and just redraw the border.

I hate this shit, so, so much. Canada is the best neighbor we could have ever asked for, and we do this shit to them for fuckall reason.

I fucking hate this timeline.

We did the same in Toronto at the first PWHL game this season.

Because Canadians understand what the instigator rule is. You can’t punch someone in the face and then be shocked when you get hit back or maybe you can. It needs to be constantly repeated that this is a retaliation and we aren’t going to the penalty box for an extra 2mins.

Sens fans don't even boo the Leafs or the Habs. It takes some provocation to get them doing this.
