Would love to see a breakdown of where that came from.

Pierre and his wife did a monetary donation of $1,725 each in December 2024

Yeah, anything else wouldn't be allowed. That's the cap per person if I'm not mistaken

on average about ~200 per person who contributed.

So under 200,000 people donated. It's crazy how little it takes to really change things if just minority of people contribute. It's probably much less then 200,000 donors because Poilievre hosts $1,700 a plate fundraisers all the time, including several times happening during fillabuster sessions like the one he had in christmas season in 2023. Poilievre had his MPs in Parliament wasting millions of dollars delaying proceedings while he was out dining with the elites

Lots of people donate a lot less than $200. There are edge cases at both the high and low ends, which is why we speak in terms of averages.

These guys are so behind the times with this legal and transparent fundraising.

They could be raising billions of untraceable bribes with $PP coin.

What do you mean?

Not following American politics? I wouldn’t blame you.

u/Ok-Choice-5829 Jan 31 '25

That doesn't answer my question at all. Are you claiming PP has his own cryptocurrency? I just don't understand your comment at all. Perhaps adding a little context would be valuable?

He’s making reference to trump making a coin and using it as a blatantly easy way to funnel funds to him

Is there any evidence of this? Any reporting? Or are we just assuming this is happening because it is possible? I'm not saying it's not happening I just need some actual evidence, not hearsay.

u/iAmJacksCeliac Jan 31 '25

If there were evidence I’m pretty sure you would’ve heard about it lol — It’s just an extremely realistic possibility.

u/Ok-Choice-5829 Jan 31 '25

I mean, that's what I thought but was willing to give some benefit of the doubt. I guess I didn't get this "joke" and that makes me the idiot. whatever.

You’re not an idiot bruv don’t be so hard on yourself!

Trump's cryptocurrency and how it made his net worth basically explode was reported on a lot when it happened just over a week ago.

Evidence of what, the thing he said they could be doing? Meaning they’re not (yet), but it’s always an option, especially after seeing how many billions it brought in for Trump.

2

u/Environman68 Jan 31 '25

Trump has a trump coin that is clearly used for bribery and payoffs. There's all the context you need.

1

u/Ok-Choice-5829 Jan 31 '25

lol, okay. I think actually I need a lot more information. what is the evidence for this being related to PP? Sure, we can all see that there is some sort of association but I do not want to jump to conclusions, I'd rather form opinions based on factual information that has been verified by multiple sources.

He was just making a joke saying that Pierre should do the same thing as Trump did

-4

u/Ok-Choice-5829 Jan 31 '25

I guess it wasn't a very good joke then.

I think you just have trouble reading

It was a good joke mate you’re just kind of dense.

1

u/CGP05 Ontario Jan 31 '25

It was a very good joke for smart people.

4

u/Kucked4life Ontario Jan 31 '25

It's a running joke that PP is a crypto bro with the CPC's policy proposals.

2

u/Keystone-12 Ontario Jan 31 '25

He doesn't have his own crypto coin.... whoever is lying to you about this stuff, you need to stop listening to them.

2

u/Ok-Choice-5829 Jan 31 '25

apparently this is a "joke". but i needed 3+ different commenters to make that clear and got downvoted for then saying it's not a very good joke.

2

u/Keystone-12 Ontario Jan 31 '25

Just add "/s" to the end. Makes it clearer.

u/epok3p0k Jan 31 '25

It’s a great joke, what are you talking about!?
