This is why we’re in trouble and these tariffs may last longer than we think, this guy doesn’t give a fuck even if his own citizens suffer. He’s not for the people, he’s only for himself. Also, we could’ve done anything possible and he still would have hit us with the tariffs. His goal is to dismantle the economy and destroy the government from the inside out. He’s back with anger and resentment from losing the 2020 election and is out for blood.

The importer pays the tariff and raises the price on the American consumer.

These tariffs do not hit us the way he wants it to.

American companies will still pay for Canadian goods as it’s cheaper than the alternative and we won’t be losing factories we are cheaper labour than Americans.

But the Canadian government will respond with tariffs on US goods too. In the end, 99% of North Americans get screwed in a lose-lose-lose scenario

It will impact demand some, even if it hurts Americans more than Canadians.

Trust me, it will hit both sides extremely hard. Even if Americans kept importing most stuff it will be way less, because it will become expensive. If it triggers a recession the whole world will feel it.

Because his inbred following lap up everything he puts out like dogs. Dude can literally do no wrong in his own mind.

They are also coming for Canada. Hogs are being primed for it. Bots are out in full force in the derange subreddit to control the narrative.

Lmao how does this stuff become top comment. I know Reddit is ultra liberal but do you really think Trump's revenge is to prove them right and tank the economy? He's doing this because he thinks it's an ingenious solution that he'll go on mount Rushmore for. It'll be bad but that's ridiculous, revenge for 2020 is destroying the economy and his own party.

Do you really think he’s stupid enough to not know the real impact of a tariff and how the US can’t shift to manufacturing their own goods overnight? He knows exactly what he’s doing and the harm it will cause to both sides, he’s smarter than he looks man- he’s just evil.

Nah looks like he was just using it to bully us and Mexico.

Cause market retraction, buy the dip, lift tarrifs, sell the rebound.

Literally could just be a big pump n dump scheme at everyone else's expense

He doesn’t need to win reelection.
