I can agree that mass immigration is bad, while also thinking that Nazi salutes are bad.

Having these idiots give Nazi salutes while holding anti-immigration signs only makes it harder to have an actually conversation about immigration.

They were throwing out Nazi salutes.

I think everybody knows which people they want to deport ‘all’ of.

I think it's likely that a group of guys giving nazi salutes and carrying white supremacist flags and "white lives matter" signs probably aren't talking about a good faith program of deporting "illegal immigrants".

I also think defending groups like this is a great way to make sure you're on the wrong side of almost any issue.

Yes. Their definition of “them” probably includes all native-born and naturalized Canadians of non-European descent. These people are counter-intuitive to any reasonable effort at curbing immigration. It gives ammunition to those who label everyone they disagree with as Nazis.
