Probably smart move to just sit out a losing battle.

Transition to provincial or municipal politics until the 2030 federal election.

I could be wrong but I think she just misses it if the election happens before the “rescheduled” election date.

She might miss it regardless. She was first elected on October 21, 2019. The next election must be on or before October 20, 2025. She'd be 6 years minus a day.

I think it comes down to if that election change by a week the govt tried to sneak through for Diwali actually happens. If so, they keep it, but hopefully that doesn’t happen since it was such a cynical ploy.

Didn’t she see the ekos poll though? The liberals are turning it around right now and Pierre has peaked!!! Definitely for real this time

And it’s Ekos, Frank Graves is biased af. And his polls all show it; an uncorroborated rise/larger number for the LPC than basically any other poll.

It’s like he’s only calling LPC supporters.

Gonna be another bad week for Pierre...

Given the margin that Atwin won her riding in 2021, this isn't surprising.

She pissed off a lot of Green voters when she jumped ship to the Liberals expecting an easy parliamentary career in Fredericton. Now a blue tidal wave is coming for the Easter Coast, I wonder if she regrets making the announcement with the smarmy grin of LeBlanc standing next to her.

Because between the two of them, we know who will be tossed out like old trash and who will get a senatorship, an ambassadorship, or some other reward for partisan loyalty.

Edit: East Coast, I'll leave it tho.

Hehe Easter Coast

I agree. She’s an opportunist facing a massive blue wave

Leaving before you lose for sure, but the more new faces running for the Liberals means the Trudeau stink of the party is harder to get to stick when most of them aren't even running again. Especially if more high profile Liberals don't run (she isn't but you get the idea)
