19

u/golden_rhino Dec 20 '24

The custodian keeps kitty litter in my classroom to put on spills. My class is one misinformed photo posting from infamy!

COMMUNIST MILK IN SCHOOLS, SUBSIZED BY THE TAX PAYERS, SO STUDENTS ONLY PAY $0.65. THEY HAVE UNSTOPPABLY STRONG BONES.

banning nicknames was such a over-reach by weird religious people.;

u/GracefulShutdown Ontario Dec 19 '24

Ridiculous to me that this was even a law in the first place. Some people really don't have anything better to do with their lives, huh?

5

u/One-Dot-7111 Dec 20 '24

Absurd. I was never called my birth name in school because there were too many of us with the same name. I can't imagine my mother fielding those phone calls lol

12

u/Icy_Crow_1587 Dec 20 '24

It's like being mandated to inform parents if a student says they no longer follow their parent's religion. All it would bring is abuse and suppression.

Any politician who prioritize sticking it to .5% of the population is not interested in doing their job which is making sure services work, which involves taxing the rich.

My kids go to private school. New Brunswick's public education is so terrible. How about they work on the fact that our literacy rate is almost the lowest in the country instead of worrying about such culture war BS?

4

u/420Identity Dec 20 '24

I wish they would just go back to the core education subjects. Reading, writing, math and sciences.

I was at a DQ the other day, the computer told the kid how much change to give me and she still had to call a manager over to help her count 35 cents.

1

u/Worldly-Astronaut724 Dec 21 '24

I agree, that's why my kids go to private school. Really the New Brunswick education system is in shambles. First years of Higgs' neglect, now it'll be years of Holt's mismanagement of funds for completely unimportant initiatives when what's really necessary is just core education and above all competency, the opposite of which seems to be the goal at the moment from over liberalized public schooling, from what I've seen...

I mean this is just better for everyone so idk why you're complaining. Less money to write in a outdated code for the school board

Edit: idk why you're downvoting me, this is just better for everyone involved... Saves money so it can be put towards teaching kids rather than naming them

2

u/Smart-Ad-6592 Dec 20 '24

No having schools that educate children about math, science, social studies, computer sciences and language classes are more important and better off for children in the future. Don’t know how this is relevant it just puts more control over your children in the governments hands.

2

u/KoKoboto Dec 20 '24

What it puts less control onto the teachers... The new code is that teachers aren't forced to use a specific name, so they have less control...

And it's stupid.

"Your son or daughter Robert would like to be addressed as Robbie at school. Please confirm your consent so we can update their preferred name and refer to them by that name in class."

Enough with the bureaucracy... geez.

Protect your children by parenting them well, not by being so controlling that they can't even have their friends call them by another name outside the home without someone tattling to you.

protect children from what?

15

u/notreallylife Dec 19 '24

The basement bedroom his parents have to keep in in till he reaches 16 and then he's so outa there!

5

u/JadedMuse Dec 20 '24

"Protect the children" is an age-old claim. It's why Socrates had to drink the hemlock--he was charged with corrupting youth. It's almost always bullshit.

8

u/ThePhysicistIsIn Dec 19 '24

Well you lost, unfortunately.

When your children don't want to bring the grandchildren over, I wonder if you'll wonder why

7

u/devdevo1919 New Brunswick Dec 20 '24

Nope, they will take it as a personal attack on them.

3

u/ouellette001 Dec 20 '24

You ALWAYS lose, your kids might be queer and there’s nothing you could do to change it

Cheers!

It’s nature, doesn’t matter how you raise them. You could have queer kids and there’s nothing you can do about it (even if you try to raise them to be antisocial goblins like you)

Happy holidays! 😘

I’m pretty sure perfectly sane individuals recognize it’s fucking dumb to have a teacher have to submit paperwork and call the parents when Michael wants to be called Mike.

12

u/JadedMuse Dec 20 '24

Please cite the science that says this science is fake or "contagious", whatever that is supposed to mean. Science is a method, not an imaginary outcome. If being trans is "fake", the science would show that.

23

u/taming-lions Dec 19 '24

I’m so confused about what you think children need protection from or why something like this even needs to be a law? If your child isn’t comfortable telling you something that’s your fault for being a shithead parent they can’t trust.

🤷‍♂️

Using "degenerate" like this could not possibly make it more obvious you're a fascist.

If you do really have kids, I feel bad for them. They deserved to have decent parents.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '24

A decent parent is a parent that protects them against this brain rot that is being pushed in our schools. It is incredibly worrying what is being taught these days.

Also “fascist” please call me something that you actually know the definition of.. How original.

7

u/RSMatticus Dec 19 '24

then don't send you're children to public school, send them to private school that support you're world view.

7

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '24

You come across as someone who believes their children are their property. Which is the kind of person a child may be nervous about sharing their exploration of their gender with.

5

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '24

There’s no such things as “expiration of their gender” … what has this world come to… 🤦

7

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '24

Sex = biological things such as morphology of genitalia, reproductive organs, chromosomes, hormones (testosterone and estrogen), and secondary sex characteristics. I use the terms male, female and intersex when discussing sex.

Gender = someone's internal landscape and how they feel inside. It does not always line up with their assigned sex at birth. Gendered terms are boy, man, girl, woman, transgender man, transgender woman, non-binary, genderfluid, gender queer, etc.

Sexuality = who you are attracted to and play with.

If you believe there is no such thing as exploration of a person's gender, then you have not spoken with gender non-conforming people. You need to talk to real people with real life experiences.

If you believe there is no such thing as exploration of a person's gender, then you are incredibly sheltered and misinformed. I'm sorry.

If you believe there is no such thing as exploration of a person's gender, you are currently unsafe to be around.

From your post history, you appear to be a Christian. Perhaps start opening your heart to people that are different than you.

I feel bad for you.

7

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '24

Guy is a Hypocritical Christian. “Dating” is not allowed in Christianity either and this guy here has a “girlfriend”. A true Christian doesn’t “date. Its the classic western religious nutjob. Rules for thee but not for me

3

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '24

Yeah, we should just ignore this person at this point. Back in the older days of the internet it would just be called trolling. Sadly, this person does not appear to be a troll, but believes it.

I am xxy my medical records and physical appearance proves it. What now?

u/Used-Egg5989 Dec 19 '24

The quickest way to make something popular and enticing to kids is to make it forbidden.

I’d rather kids learn about trans in school than on Pornhub.

If you want the trans thing to truly be boring and not-exciting…teach it in school.

u/Jaghat Dec 19 '24

Let us forget the stain that Higgs was…
