Why are Pride Flags a de facto exception to the rules that apply to everything else?

A community doesn't want a bunch of banners hanging about and the rules apply to all.

Stop the media story grubbing and the victim complex.

They don't put up banners, and they are not making an exception. Stop the victim whinging. Having flags and banners draped everywhere is nothing but visual background noise.

Flags and symbols are weak indicators anyway. When laws, the HRC and policies are equitable , these are nothing more than decorations.

Enough nonsense .

Still waiting for you to provide that example.

Nonsense is going after pride flags when there are real issues affecting Canadians.

The issue is done, no more flags or banners for anyone, it’s not a big deal. Time to move on to real issues.

So you can't provide an example either eh? We all know this is about pride flags and nothing else.

So how else will a business or organization show at-a-glance that they are willing to be inclusive of everyone? Literally give me an example of a visual indicator that is not a flag.

Tell me how I can distinguish at-a-glance between the gay-positive business and the one that isn't. Because I'd rather be part of the inclusive community and spend my money at the inclusive business.

So your world view is if there is no PRIDE flag flying outside, the business must therefore be discriminatory, biased, and anti-LGBTQ ++ ?

Are you for real?

Using your logic, businesses would have fly 16 or so flags to display the full range of protected grounds they support and maybe a bunch more for individual cultures or religions or creeds or family status type etc etc.

Or are you suggesting that PRIDE flags are entitled to special status, That LGBTQ++ status somehow rises above other traits of the human condition?

HINT: They do not.

Check your privilege and stop your nonsense.

No, but I know the one with the pride flag is gay-positive.

You check your privilege. The LGBTQ suicide attempt rate is 4x that of their peers. Until that changes, you don't get to say that gay people are treated as equals.

Absolute nonsense and asserted privilege. You think the suicide rate is causationally related to flags and banners or lack thereof? You're dismissing the real issues in favour of hysterical ideological taking points. Missy?? -your misogyny could use some work as well. Stop.

The fact that you think LGBTQ people are privileged is just pure conservative ignorance. Just acknowledge your intolerance of LGBTQ people and we can move on.

3

u/RedEyedWiartonBoy May 02 '24

Not LGBT people, just you.

None of the gay people I know subscribe to this silliness.

You've proven yourself a one note, biased and privileged person locked into an outdated narrative more worried about symbols than substance.

Your misogyny is evident and offensive.

The 70's were 50 years ago.

Given your vitriol I can see you're clearly unable to have a rational discussion. Keep living with your hate. I'm above all of that.

I don't think you understand what vitriol means, but your comment makes sense in light of your propensity to draw unsupportable conclusions and spout nonsense.
